Rhyl Beach
This long and sandy stretch of beach extends almost two miles, meaning there’s plenty of space for beachgoers to set up for the day. The large tidal range and gently sloping beach, make Rhyl a popular spot for everyone from little ones wishing to build sandcastles to experienced surfers after a large wave.
When visiting Rhyl, you can expect to enjoy traditional seaside activities, including a donkey ride and a game or two in the seafront amusement arcades. You can also stop by the SeaQuarium, where you’ll be able to get up close and personal with a wide variety of sea life.
There are also plenty of cafés and restaurants situated on the promenade, ideal for taking a break from the sun and refuelling after a day of beach activities.
Rhyl Beach is ideally located for cyclists as the National Cycle Route 5 runs along the promenade.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach between May and September.
