RSPB Conwy
Stroll along the boardwalk at RSPB Conwy and listen to the rounds of the reed warblers in summer and the water rails in winter. View starlings grouping here on winter evenings before roosting in the reeds. Year-round, but particularly August to March, you can look across two lagoons teeming with waders and waterbirds.
Follow the trails through mixed scrub and grassland that are filled with dragonflies and butterflies in the summer. Keep following the trail until you reach the edge of the estuary where you’ll find mudflats and salt marsh, with views of the Carneddau mountains beyond.
Star species you can see while visiting RSPB Conwy include black-tailed godwit, lapwing, sedge warbler, shelduck and water rail.
A day out that’s packed with nature awaits at RSPB Conwy…
