St George’s Cove
Tucked away on the sandy banks of the Camel Estuary is St George’s Cove, a sheltered white-sand beach with stunning turquoise waters.
At low tide the beach expands and joins up with Harbour Cove and Hawkers Cove, allowing beachgoers to walk between the three. While the cove is sheltered from wind and ocean swells thanks to its easterly aspect and surrounding cliffs, swimming is not advised due to the currents of the Camel Estuary.
Despite this, St George’s Cove is a popular spot during the summer months with many visitors flocking to the sand for sunbathing and picnicking. Dogs are banned during peak season but are permitted again from October.
