Talland Church
Talland Church, also known as St Tallanus’ Church, is a Grade I listed building settled on a clifftop. It’s a must-see for any history buff visiting Looe and its surrounding area.
The church is a historic marvel, thanks to its original Celtic altar and its 13th-century bell tower. The tower stands at 55′ and can be spotted while walking along the Cornish Celtic Way.
This trail passes by Talland Church’s front door and guides hikers along the South West Coast Path and into the countryside. If you are planning on hiking along the path, why not grab a Cornish Celtic Way Passport beforehand? The church has a special stamp you can use, which can be found behind the building.
When it comes to services, Talland Church hosts these daily. You can partake in morning prayers before wandering into the churchyard.
The churchyard houses a bench that boasts views over Talland Bay. Why not settle down here and soak up the vistas after a service?
A tranquil outing awaits at Talland Church…
