The Bagalow
If you love to explore the South West Coast Path, then the area of The Bagalow is a must. The trail and beach can be easily reached from Treknow and Tintagel, mainly via the Hole Beach Circular walk.
The hike begins at the car park adjacent to Tintagel’s Old Post Office. From here, follow the main road through Tintagel and to the right.
Continue along the footpath which passes by the Headland Camping and Caravan Park. This will take you down a track and across a field, where you’ll find the gate to the South West Coast Path.
Progress along the South West Coast Path in the direction of Tintagel Castle. Eventually you’ll hit a stream, cross it and follow the Glebe Cliff signage.
Venture by the Youth Hostel and medieval church before reaching Penhallic Point. Soak up the wonderful sights here before reaching the National Trust sign for Bagalow.
You’ve now reached The Bagalow area! Come and enjoy a sit-down on the area’s lovely beaches, Hole Beach and Bagalow Beach, and marvel at those wonderful views.
Afterwards, cross the nearby fields to find another path and follow it to Trevillick Farm, then back to Tintagel.
