The Forest Side
The Forest Side offers Michelin Star dining while being surrounded by the landscape of the Lakes. The restaurant is part of a hotel with the same name, which rests on the edges of Grasmere.
The menu is one of the major things that makes this place so special. It really embodies everything that’s great about the Lake District, using locally sourced ingredients.
Some ingredients have been foraged from the kitchen’s very own garden and surrounding land! When it comes to meats, The Forest Side cures, smokes and salts these in-house, too.
The Forest Side’s menu, while succinct, has so much to offer. The lunch menu offers the choice between a six-course or four-course meal. Some memorable picks comprise monkfish roasted in tarn butter and aged Cumbrian red deer.
The dinner menu features an eight-course menu, where these dishes alongside a variety of others await.
If you’re a vegetarian, don’t worry, the restaurant has plenty to offer. From pot-roasted hispi cabbage to Tokyo Cross turnip, there are lots of tasty dishes to tuck into.
Don’t forget to try one of the restaurant’s unique cocktails or organic wines with your meal!
A Michelin Star experience awaits your taste buds at The Forest Side, Grasmere…
