The Old Sail Loft
Fancy a fantastic meal out on Looe’s quay? Look no further than The Old Sail Loft.
The restaurant is situated within one of the oldest buildings in the town, with parts of it dating back to 450 years ago. Known as “The Run”, the building was once a hot spot for sailors and smugglers in the 16th century.
These days, however, whilst The Old Sail Loft is still a hot spot, it’s more for those seeking a great dining experience! Here, you can look forward to savouring the latest catch from the town’s quay and local produce.
The menu whilst predominantly offering seafood options also features a range of meat dishes. Venison scotch egg, treacle-cured steak and Creedy carver duck are some of the mouthwatering options.
Prefer a meat-free affair? Be sure to order the roasted Jerusalem artichoke risotto or the Autumn squash risotto. Roasted Hispi cabbage, tenderstem and new potatoes are also available as veggie-friendly sides.
When it comes to the restaurant’s speciality, you won’t be disappointed! Roasted scallops, mackerel paté, the Sail Loft Surf ‘n’ Turf and more await.
Coming with the kids? You’ll be pleased to find a children’s menu available. A range of tasty desserts are also on offer here; why not finish your meal with the Confused Apple or the salt caramel pannacotta?
