The Vale of Avalon / Arthurian Centre
The Vale of Avalon offers visitors to Cornwall an insight into Arthurian Legends and local folklore. It is a wonderful outing for both the little ones and adults, providing lots to experience.
When it comes to history, there’s so much on offer. You can look forward to seeing the Camlann Battlefield, King Arthur’s Grave and a 13th-century longhouse first-hand.
When it comes to activities, there’s an interactive, indoor exhibition. Even more fascinating artefacts await here! Alternatively, step outside and unwind in Lady Falmouth’s Secret Garden.
If you’re up for more adventurous things to do here, why not go for a 500-metre walk through the nearby woodland? A winding boardwalk will take you through the trees and along a shimmering river.
Additionally, the attraction makes up part of the longer Arthurian Trail, which takes you through Bodmin Moor.
The little ones can also enjoy outdoor activities, such as building dens from The Vale of Avalon’s twigs and trees! The orchard is also worth visiting, offering the little ones plenty of wildlife to spot.
After exhausting yourselves with outdoor activities, be sure to stop at the on-site tearoom for a well-deserved sweet treat. A wealth of homemade cakes are on offer, alongside classic Cornish cream teas.
