Wallington is a country house and gardens in Northumberland around 12 miles west of Morpeth. It has been owned by the National Trust since 1942, when Sir Charles Philips Trevelyan donated it, along with the estate and farms, as the first contribution of its sort.

Hidden at the edge of the woods, behind Neptune’s Gate, lies the walled garden at Wallington in Northumberland. Wander along its winding paths to see an abundance of flowers and plants.
There isn’t one view of the entire garden, so you should explore each area as you walk. A picnic at the park is perfect, as it features the Edwardian conservatory, the Owl House, and an open lawn next to a pond.

The Dragon cycling track is suited for exciting family adventures. This easy trail allows you to enjoy wildlife and panoramic views of Northumberland while staying safe. This pedestrian-only trail is open year-round. If you can’t bring your own bikes, check the website for seasonal opening times.
With four outdoor playparks, you’re spoiled for choice. Which do you prefer, the play fort with its rope bridge and turrets or the adventure playground with its zip line? You and your family may enjoy the new Little Acorns play area with its big tree trunk steps and willow tunnel.
