Wrexham County Borough Museum
Want to uncover a wealth of local history? Come and tour the Wrexham County Borough Museum!
The museum came to be in 1857 and has since collated a huge collection of exhibits and collections that showcase the history of this area on the Welsh-English border.
You can find the historic delight on Regent Street, and you’ll be pleased to know that the building offers ample facilities. These include wheelchair access, public toilets and blue-badge parking.
On a tour of the museum, you’ll come across 16,000 special items, from football memorabilia to intricate antiques. There are even artefacts dating back to the Bronze Age and Civil War here!
The archives are also worth seeing if you’re interested in historic records or have personal ties to the area. Photographs, maps and plans are just a few of the items available here.
After seeing what’s on offer, be sure to stop at the Courtyard CafĂ©. Here, a wealth of delicious cakes, sandwiches and afternoon tea can be savoured.
