• "We had a great few days away in your cottage, the location was great, not far from the beach in a lovely quiet and peaceful location."

  The cottage was lovely and clean and we had a nice few days visiting the local area. There are a couple of points I would like the owners to be aware of. *There was plenty of wood for the wood burner but no fire lighters or matches so we bought some and left them there for the next people who stay. *The dishwasher needs glass cleaner and salt * Safety aspects - handle in bath to enable you to get in and out easier and non slip mat or surface in shower & bath. * Hook near the front door would be an advantage to hang your keys on These are just a couple of suggestions, they didn’t spoil our stay and would definitely return and also recommend to others.

  Many thanks for your constructive observations, these have not come up before so we will address the points you made. We had to change the front door latch to a thumb latch for fire regulations but never thought about where to keep the keys. We provide kindling to start the log burner and have not been asked for the other things, so once again we will appraise it. As the shower and bath thing is a safety issue we will address it straight away. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

• "A lovely property, great location and just 10 minutes walk from the nearest beach."

  We were a party of 8, 2 of which were children and there was plenty of room for us all to find a corner to relax. Lots of crockery, cooking pots and utensils and a nice large fridge and freezer but could do with a few more glasses, especially wine glasses. Easy to make contact when we had a problem with a picture falling off the wall for no reason! Loved the ensuite, although there's no WC for anyone sleeping in the 2nd upstairs bedroom so they have to go downstairs. The bedroom downstairs didn't have any drawers, just hangers which meant clothes had to either be left in the case or put in other rooms. There were plenty of drawers in the rooms upstairs though. Overall it was excellent and would definitely go against n.

• "We absolutely loved this amazing property which exceeded our expectations for a wonderful family holiday."

  The decor is beautiful and the property light, airy and spacious. A good location with great dog walk to nearest beach. Exceptionally friendly neighbours! We were blessed with great weather and able to enjoy the peaceful surrounds whilst sitting out in the garden. Our dog only escaped the once under the hedge but worth noting the gaps.

• "Fabulous stay."

  Being very critical now! Main Bathroom could do with a lick of paint on side of bath and shower head keeps slipping down.Loo brushes changed. No where to put a wine glass when relaxing watching TV. Needs a little attention to detail to be perfect but it’s almost there, we loved it and would definitely stay again. 9.5 out of 10 . For a large group of 7 the Lounge was perfect even on wet days.

• "IMMACULATE !"

  From the moment I stepped into the cottage I felt relaxed. There was ample space for two adults, 3 children and a dog. The cottage was extremely clean and had been decorated to the highest standard. The location was perfect and the outside area was lovely. You only had to travel 10 mins in the car to get to gorgeous beaches. I have to say this cottage has to be the best holiday home I have stayed in. I cannot recommend this enough.

• "We had a lovely 5 night stay at Sgubor cottage."

  The property is so peaceful and the decor is just breathtaking, this property is to die for. It was our first time in Anglesey and we will definitely return if we can get another great deal on this property. A lovely welcome package on arrival included prosecco, welsh cakes, bara brith and milk in the fridge. There was no tea or coffee in the tins which was a shame as we forgot our tea bags. There was also no salt/pepper which we thought was strange as this is a basic that we shouldn't have to buy and haven't had to in other places we have stayed. There are tons of cutlery and crockery, along with saucepans and oven trays all provided. The only other negatives we found were the property had a lot of small black bugs in areas, particularly around the windows. Some of the windows had mould around them which would have been basic to clean. The downstairs bathroom shower screen also had lots of mould on the rubber bit on the bottom, again this is a basic thing to clean before guests arrived. The shower in the downstairs bathroom also had a bad kink in the hose, meaning the water pressure was awful as half the water was spraying everywhere. This wasn't a problem for us as I just used the upstairs shower, but definitely needs replacing for future guests. Overall, these negative points are extremely minor and would not put us off staying again, we absolutely loved the place and did not want to leave, highly recommend!!

• "Wow what a beautiful property it exceeded our expectations."

  Comfortable, well equipt, spotlessly clean and everything we needed. Fabulous open plan dining and lounge which was perfect for our family to get together. Nice walk to the beach with our little dog and so many lovely places to visit. We would love to return and would recommend to family and friends. The welcome basket was also a thoughtful gesture. Only comments are the freezer needs defrosting, the fridge didnt seem to get very cold despite hiring it up and a side table or nest of tables would be good in the living areas as you end up putting cups and glasses on the floor. But none of this is a criticism as the property is one of the nicest I've stayed in. Thankyou

  Thank you for your lovely feedback, I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay. We have encountered this problem before and it is actually the fridge motor trying to work too hard. The way to fix it is to turn it down, would you believe. We had the engineer out and he said the fridge freezer was fine, as we had asked it to be changed under warranty.   Perhaps an extra separate toilet would be a good idea when there is a full complement of guests. However it is a lovely holiday home.

• "Absolutely loved our stay, the location itself is so picturesque and quiet, gave us all we wanted with a peaceful few days, a little haven to return to!"

  The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our two night stay with a 2 and 4 (turning into a 5 year old) whilst we were there, warm, comfortable beds and even Prosecco which helped with our celebrations! Thank you, we would definitely come back again.

• "We enjoyed our stay and the property was perfect for our family weekend."

  The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the living area was a great space for 6 adults, 2 children and a baby. Bed linen was lovely and felt luxurious. The standard of cleaning was disappointing, particularly in the en-suite. There was visible dirt, dust and hairs, the floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped, and the shower plughole was dirty, too. It felt like both bathrooms needed a really deep clean. The kitchen was reasonably well stocked, although there were only 2 small tumbler glasses, and so only pint or wine glasses available. Also agree with other comments that the living area would benefit from a coffee table/s. On the whole a great stay and would love to return, but a shame about the cleanliness.

• "We had a lovely family holiday (kids, parents, grandparents and dogs) in July this year."

  The property is really clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The only negative feedback we have is that there is damp in the main bedroom and en suite. The cottage will also benefit from hooks on the back of bedroom doors as there is limited space for hanging towels and clothes. Overall we had a brilliant stay and it is an excellent base for exploring Anglesey.

• "Absolutely lovely cottage."

  Very spacious, comfortable and in a good location. It was a shame there is no separate toilet upstairs only the ensuite facilities. Other guests staying in 2nd upstairs bedroom had to go down stairs in the night to use the downstairs toilet. I also think the check in time 3pm is quite late considering your paying for a 3 day stay, most of your first day is gone by the time you unpack. Overall we had a nice little break.

• "Bed was extremely comfortable and bedrooms beautifully presented, great setting and location."

  However, there were a few issues with cleanliness - oven needs a deep clean, there was a spillage in the freezer door, egg shell stuck to the frying pan, crumbs by the toaster. No pillow protectors and a stain on pillow.

• "Beautiful barn conversion very contemporary, and super comfortable."

  Definite WOW factor. Fixtures and furnishings are to a very high standard, (bedlinen was very cosy) everything you could possibly want was provided in the kitchen. Great base for enjoying everything that Anglesey has to offer. Nice walk to the beach from the doorstep less than 10 mins walk awa we decided to leave our 4 legged friend at home but he would of loved the beach. As a previous review had mentioned a coffee table / small side table would be useful, we took our own which proved to be very handy. My only comment would be that a mirror near to a plug would be handy for plugging in the hairdryer, and possibly some coat hooks on the backs of doors in the bedrooms that don't have wardrobes in, as the only hanging space was in the wardrobes in the main bedroom and the bunk room, and if these rooms are occupied it could prove to be inconvenient to keep popping in for your clothing, however this did not spoil our break. We would certainly return, as it's a great place for family/ group holidays.

• "Sgubor is a lovely cottage."

  A few improvements would make it a 10/10. 1. Coffee table is needed for the living room. There's nowhere to place your glass of wine apart from the floor. We actually removed the cream rug to protect it in case something tipped! 2. It's advertised as being suitable for those with limited mobility. It would have made much more sense therefore to have the downstairs bathroom with a walk in shower rather then upstairs. My elderly parents had to take the upstairs room because of the shower which made no sense. 3. Although there is an enclosed garden at the front, you can't let the dog out on its own as there are numerous gaps in the hedge. Apart from these minor niggles, I would recommend Sgubor to anyone. Lovely cottage and nice and helpful owners.
