  • "Amazing property, spotless clean and tidy, the little details definitely puts this property/owner at the top of their game."

Everything was thought of and it was just like home from home, I had taken little things with us like, dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid etc as holiday let properties we had stayed In before didn’t have these things, but absolutely no need as Jo had thought of everything

  • "We have just returned from a short weekend trip to this lovely property within striking distance of both Durham and the north east coast."

The location was brilliant and the property is set up a long driveway which is part of a working farm complex. We thoroughly enjoyed feeding the hens and the outlook was really nice, cute little touches around the exterior with plenty of parking. Inside was beautifully maintained to a very high standard. Modern and nicely decorated throughout, spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and plenty of space and storage available.. The house was fully equipped with everything you would need to enhance your stay. It really is a home from home. We lit the wood burning stove as it was a very cold weekend and followed the instructions in the guest book, which is very well prepared with loads of info. We met Jo, our host walking her dogs and she was very warm and friendly. I would definitely recommend this house for a lovely stay. I am quite fussy where I stay and I had a truly fantastic time here and would definitely return.

The Haybarn had everything we needed, and the welcome gifts and flowers were a lovely surprise. The accommodation is beautifully decorated. The beds were super comfy and we all slept well, recovering from days out, long walks and exploring. We loved having the chickens outside and feeding them a few treats. The Haybarn is in a great location for heading out to explore the local areas, sea glass hunting on Seaham beach being one of our favourite! We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

The downstairs bedroom and ensuite was just what we needed for my elderly Mum who would of struggled with the stairs. It was lovely waking up to all the farmyard noises and sitting out having breakfast with the hens. The welcome gifts were a wonderful touch which were greatly received. We meet Jo the owner who was lovely. We would definitely go back.

This is a very well managed, comfortable, clean and well resourced accommodation. The owners are on hand if needed but never intrusive. The setting is just beautiful and with walks from the door around the neighbouring countryside for the dog. There is so much wildlife and flora on this responsibly managed farm. The surrounding area equally rich in wildlife. I loved watching the chickens who bob about, the friendly robin that visited daily and the swallows at dusk. A real home from home and a valued relaxing break. Well positioned to visit the local coastline and areas of interest. I recommend without reservation.

The property is lovely, comfortable and welcoming and the owners Jo and Richard are lovely too. They are available for any questions and are very friendly but are not intrusive so we had our privacy. It was lovely to meet Roger (the very big cockerel), Thor (the white hen) and their friends. We also got to meet their dogs and to see the sheep and the Alpacas. We really love it here - a real home from home - and hope to come back again in the future.
