  Your house is amazing. Cinema room amazing. Very clean. The only negative I would say is that the hot water tap in the kitchen wasn't very hot.

  This was our first vacation with our entire family in along time and was perfectly setup for family activities. It was perfectly setup for family activities. We did find the heating system a bit complicate to work, otherwise all other amenities were wonderful.

• "We have been to Windermere many times over the 20 times in various locations."

  Some cheaper & some much more expensive, but this for us was the best! Never had a heating on much as it's such toasty house. Cinema room is amazing with three children. Love it was decorated for Christmas, was not expected! If I was being picky, the water pressure could be slightly better. We will be back! Thank you.

  Extremely clean with all the little extra’s available. Have already recommended to friends and family. The location is perfect to simply walk straight out of the house to your activities as it’s set not to far from everything. Overall had the best weekend with my ladies.

• "We stayed here for the weekend with a group of friends."

  There were 8 of us, 4 couples. The entrance is very welcoming, tidy and neat. The dining table was great. Ample size for us all. The lounge area seated 5 comfortably, 6 was a squeeze and the other two adults had to sit on a dining chair. Not great for comfort. We did say that in the bay window, they was possibly room for another lounge seat. The kitchen was great. Bright,clean with all necessities. The cinema room in the basement was an amazing addition although we didn’t get a chance to use it. Kids and movie buffs would be delighted,I’m sure. The bedrooms are beautifully presented and spacious, although the bedroom at the rear of the property was a little tight for two adults. The main bedroom with the roll top bath was so gorgeous! We all wanted that room, you could have a bath in the sumptuous bubble bath and watch the tv! Bliss. Bathrooms are also well presented, especially the shared shower room on the first floor…amazing decor! The showers weren’t power showers but the toiletries were a nice touch. Posh ones! There’s a tiny yard out the back, just for bins really but there is a nice seating area at the front of the house. Again, well maintained and tidy. We had a lovely stay at Woodlands and would definitely return. It’s in a lovely quiet neighbourhood, only a short stroll from the centre of the village. Neighbouring Bowness a 20min walk or 5 minute car journey away. With the outstanding natural beauty of Lake Windermere right there. Breathtaking.

  Loved the cinema room, although only seating for 5 people so not sure how you would manage if there were 8 people staying. Description says house is for 8 people. Minor things to point out: 1. Description should point out that one of 1st floor doubles is only 3/4 queen bed and room would be small for 2 people. 2. Ran out of toilet rolls and dish washer tabs in 4 days - had to buy. Otherwise great and enjoyed our stay.

• "The house was beautiful, in a great location and the cinema room was a particular hit with the family!"

  The disappointments were the cleanliness of the property - for instance, when we came to use the coffee machine the filter was full of moldy coffee. This must have been like this for quite a while as the mold spores were substantial. Many of the dishes and cutlery also felt greasy. We were also slightly disappointed that there was not the usual Lake Lovers welcome pack - often we have received tea, coffee and other local produce but this was sadly absent. The other piece of feedback was regarding parking. It was impossible to park outside/near the property. On previous visits to the lake district we had been given a parking permit to enable parking in the carparks. This would have been helpful and would have added to the enjoyment of the holiday. If the above points were addressed then this would have been a 5 star.

I would like to apologise for the oversight on the coffee machine & crockery; we have since changed our private cleaner to ensure the highest standards remain throughout the property. I appreciate your feedback regarding parking permits, and something we could explore for the future. As a terrace property, we don’t have any designated parking; however we are very fortunate that there is usually a plentiful amount of off-street parking in the street and surrounding streets without restrictions. There is also the Broad Street Car Park available, on the adjacent street, whereby you can pay £1.00 to park each day, when paid before 9am and can be refreshed each day via the digital app. We hope you would consider returning to Woodlands Boutique and look forward to welcome you again soon. • "The property was lovely overall and we had a lovely stay."

  There were a few aspects that we would like to raise: - the bathroom on the 3rd floor needs refreshing and the doors won’t lock, the extractor fan is also not working - the property was not as clean as expected, a lot of dust and marks - there were no shower gels/shampoos provided and we expect these to be standard with bookings from experience - no tea/coffee was provided Otherwise, we have no complaints and the cinema room is amazing!

• "Entering the house was so welcoming."

  Lights and heating were on so everything felt homely. No expense had been spared in the design and execution of the decor. We were very impressed with the heating controls which sensed motion as you walk by. The kitchen was amazing, so modern, yet the lounge felt more traditional and cozy. Bedrooms were tasteful and master bedroom was superb. We had a very comfortable stay and would dearly have liked to stay longer. Our celebration was a daughters 40th birthday and we were mixed ages. We enjoyed a lovely evening in the cinema room, singing along to karaoke songs on uTube! Knowing it was soundproofed! A lovely touch by the owner with popcorn and machine available. It’s clear that a lot of effort has been put into the comfort of the property and also kept the ambiance of the Lake District. Lovely

  So good we found it hard to go out and explore! Everything top quality, its hard to believe someone would put such effort into a holiday let, will be back soon. Windermere is a great little place to stay, quieter than Bowness but an easy walk in, some fantastic places to eat and drink.

• "I have stayed at many places and this has to be one of the best, sykes made the booking process very easy and the accommodation exceeded all expectations, the house has everything!"

  The pictures don't really show off how big the place actually is and even when arriving it didn't look as big as once you actually get inside, the house was very spacious especially for our full party of adults. Windermere Town is a roads walk away which was very handy for breakfasts and getting all the essentials we needed. Would definitely recommend and will 100% come back in the future.

• "Amazing stay, would hugely recommend!"

  5 star accommodation with amazing cinema room which 100% made the stay. Great location. Only things to note - when we arrived there was a mouldy apple under the table & a dirty nappy left in one of the bedroom bins. No complimentary toiletries, not enough toilet roll or dishwasher tablets for our 5 night stay. Also would have been nice to have garden chairs outside. However, this would not put us off staying again!

The Owner has taken a lot of time and effort into building this beautiful holiday home so we are glad to hear you enjoyed it. We are sorry to hear of the cleaning deficiencies we have raised this with the Housekeeper - we apologise profusely for this. Regarding the toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets, we have encouraged all of our owners to only leave 1 toilet roll per toilet just to get guests started. Lastly the property has some chairs in the front garden and has some outside seating on order for the rear as well but it has been delayed. Hopefully it will be in place if you return. Thanks again.
