This is the second time we have stayed here and we love love the location The improvement on having the glass installed on the balcony makes a massive difference We where disappointed to see no improvements where made on the beds or mattresses even though it has been mentioned in the feedback book as well a few times a simple change would make a massive difference to the comfort of your stay We have already booked again for next year but if no improvements have been made on the comfort of the beds then sadly it will be our last and we will find another property in the area

  • "Amazing views from the property, this is what you pay for."

It's restful and peaceful. The only thing that I didn't give it 5 stars was the smaller bedrooms you wouldn't want to sleep in there because of the smell from the oil tank (I presume it's from the tank). The main bedroom was fine although the mattress was very soft. Oven gloves are needed in the kitchen but that was the only fault.

  • "We had such a lovely stay here."

The layout was perfect and the view of the bay was outstanding. The kitchen was perfectly stocked, lots of seating in the living area. The double beds were comfy and all the rooms immaculately clean. We loved the short walk through the garden onto the cliff path down to the beach. The only change I would recommend would be the twin beds as these were really not suitable for adults. The mattress sinks below the surround frame which would probably not happen with a child. I am not sure it should really be advertised to sleep up to 8 adults. If the twin beds were to be updated to standard singles we would not hesitate to book this lovely property year after year for our now adult family.

  • "Cliff side garden needs tending too ."

Struggle to get to private path witch isn't really a path. Shrubbery growing too mutch on decking . Decking could do with coating or replacing . Tin opener doesn't work . Shelf in fridge door is damaged so if you put any milk or heavier things in it it doesn't shut . Family bathroom had awful smell for two days . Great hilliday but clearly advertised with earlier photos .

  • "As a family we really enjoyed staying at this property."

The open living space connecting with the dining room and kitchen meant everyone was always together. From our family cook offs to Monopoly games everyone stayed entertained and with all the space the little one had lots of fun running around. Amazing views of the beach from the balcony. The lower garden area enjoyed greatly by my grand daughter. The property was very clean, organised and had all the amenities needed. Only down side was the beds were quite soft but other than that no complaints. I would definitely recommend staying here and will hopefully be back in the future.

  • "St Ives view is a wonderful property and we are so pleased we have already booked it again for next year ."

The house is perfectly placed and is well equipped for everything you need The views are simply stunning However the only thing which is stopping us booking this property every year for our week in Cornwall is the beds ( we noticed this has been mentioned a few times ) the mattresses are so soft and low they sink below the bed frame when trying to get out and make them very uncomfortable and I think it would be a really nice touch to have higher quality pillows and sheets etc the property isn’t cheap to rent so I wasn’t expecting cheap linen That is THE ONLY thing that in our opinion needs addressing Saying that we had the most wonderful time and are already looking forward to next year

  • "Stunning property - presented beautifully, spotlessly clean and my husband who has stayed in some amazing places and hotels all over the world said it was the best view he had ever seen."

Thanks you. Two very small points - I know it’s personal preference but we felt both the beds downstairs were very uncomfortable and also there was a lot of wood louse on the stairs and downstairs- our kids were delighted and loved picking them up to “re home then in the garden” and they didn’t bother us - again probably on of those thing living by the sea but wanted to highlight it. My sister was getting married in Porthleven which is why we came to stay but we will definitely be back. Blissful week and perfect spot. Thank you.

  • "Fantastic location, great house, lots of room."

The fridge does not work well, the icebox has too much ice around so the door can hardly be closed. The vacuum cleaner does not work well. Apart from those things the rest was fantastic.

  • "The house was lovely however could not check in until 6pm even though when we booked it said 4pm."

The main toilet couldnt be used as was blocked and the en suite shower kept flooding so all 8 of us had to share one bathroom/toilet. There were only two chairs on the balcony and one was broken so couldnt be used. Other than that lovely house with beautiful views!

  • "We had a glorious week staying at St Ives View, it is a fantastic property in a beautiful location."

The open plan living space was fantastic to relax in with the extended family and the views of the sunset were stunning. A couple of minor points that I feel are worth noting are that the toilet on the left as you enter the property seems to be slightly blocked and does not flush properly. Also most of us were in a agreement that the mattresses were far too soft in the bedrooms. I would say those are minor points that did not deduct much from a fantastic holiday at a property I would recommend to others. Thank you :)

Small things like liquid soap in bathrooms and oven gloves would of been helpful, also more seating on the balcony, only 3 seats and one of those was broken. But still a lovely house and would not hesitate to book again

We stayed for a week at Easter (two families with small children) and the house was great. The views in the evening were fantastic and only a short walk to the beach which was fine for the kids. Few good shops and restaurants within walking distance too...great place to stay in Cornwall.

It was spotlessly clean and was equipped with everything you could need. It was very spacious and all rooms were a great size, sharing with 7 people didn't feel like you were living on top of each other or were short on space. The icing on the cake was the view! WOW!! We were lucky enough to get the most fabulous sun set one evening, drinking prosecco watching the sun set over the water was just fabulous.

  • "Beautiful house in a stunning location."

There was everything we needed in the house and we had such a wonderful holiday because of it. The only structured feedback we would give is change or tighten up the toilet seats (they all seemed to be loose!) and just write a few more instructions re where the store key was for recycling. But truly- we did absolutely love it.

The property

A cool and contemporary beachside residence, its hillside position perched just a stroll down to the soft golden sands of Porthtowan, on Cornwall's Atlantic west coast.

St Ives view is the epitome of coastal living and perfect for sharing a memorable seaside holiday with family and friends.

A split level detached house, step into this light and airy interior and you will be greeted with unforgettable views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The entrance hall leads into a split level kitchen diner, with steps leading up to a crisp and contemporary living space on the upper level, with doors to a balcony.

There are four uncluttered pristine bedrooms on slightly different levels with two bathrooms, one being en-suite to the master bedrooms on the lower ground floor.

The sun room runs the width of the lower ground floor and is the perfect spot to curl up and watch the waves as they roll into the beach.

Two sun terraces overlook the beach below, no better spot to enjoy alfresco meals or evening barbecues.

From the garden, you can tootle down your own pathway giving you direct access to the beach and enjoy an evening stroll on the shoreline.

A hot outside shower awaits returning surfers and swimmers after a day catching waves.

The village amenities are all close by where you will find all you need including a small supermarket, deli, surf shop and a handful of good pubs and restaurants.

Stroll along the beach at low tide and you will find the quieter beach of Chapel Porth and as the tide ebbs back in, head back via the coastal path and marvel at the magnificent scenery.

For a holiday of fun, sea, sand and surf, St Ives View is just the ticket and ideal for sharing with family and friends.
