Sykes Holiday Cottages is proud to introduce new flexible cancellation terms for holidaymakers which allows them to cancel up until the day their booking begins, offering greater booking confidence and flexibility.

Sykes is the first holiday let rental agent to launch this option in the UK, with Sykes partnering with Pikl, a specialist insurtech provider, to enable the new customer proposition.

Flexible cancellation allows travellers to change their mind about going on holiday, cancel their booking and get their money back until midday on the day of their check-in (less a small flexible cancellation fee and the costs of any travel or accidental damage insurance they’ve purchased through Sykes).

As well as benefitting customers, the flexible cancellation terms also aim to support holiday let owners to increase bookings. Sykes’ owners could reap the rewards of a higher customer confidence and booking conversion, with the flexible cancellation terms now in line with what is offered by hotels and online travel aggregators.
