Enter your email address by using a sign-up form on the website or blog and receive 3 entries for the prize draw.
Interact with us on social media (worth 1 entry)
Comment on our competition post on Facebook, comment on our competition post on Instagram or comment on our competition post on Twitter.
Signing up to Sykes Holiday Cottages Loyalty Scheme (worth 3 entries)
Sign up to Sykes Rewards on our website or from your email invitation and receive 3 entries for the prize draw.
Bonus entry method (worth 1 entry)
If you are signed up to our mailing list, on receiving a launch email for the competition, you can enter via the link ‘Enter me into the Competition’ and receive 1 entry.
Complete our customer survey (worth 3 entries)
If you are signed up to our mailing list, on receiving a customer survey invitation, you can complete and submit the survey and receive 3 entries for the prize draw.
The more entries you gain into the prize draw, the higher chance you have of winning your ultimate UK holiday. So, for example, if you were to ‘Book a holiday’, ‘Leave us a review’ and ‘Enter your email address, you would be entered into the competition a total of 11 times!

If you complete any of the actions above between 1st September– 30th September 2022, you’ll be entered into the competition.

- These terms and conditions apply to the “September Prize Draw: Win An Autumn Break” competition (“The Competition”) run by the Sykes Holiday Cottages Family (“Sykes”), which includes Sykes Holiday Cottages, Hogans Cottages, Abersoch Quality Homes, Cornish Cottage Holidays, Helpful Holidays, Lakes Cottage Holidays, Lakelovers, Heart of the Lakes, Lake District Lodge Holidays, Manor Cottages, Hideaways, Menai Holidays, Dream Cottages, Coast & Country Cottages, Cornwall Holiday Cottages, Carbis Bay, John Bray, and Yorkshire Coastal Cottages.
- In these terms and conditions, where it states Sykes Holiday Cottages ‘only’, this does not include Hogans Cottages, Abersoch Quality Homes, Cornish Cottage Holidays, Helpful Holidays, Lakes Cottage Holidays, Lakelovers, Heart of the Lakes, Lake District Lodge Holidays, Manor Cottages, Hideaways, Menai Holidays, Dream Cottages, Coast & Country Cottages, Cornwall Holiday Cottages, Carbis Bay, John Bray, and Yorkshire.
- By claiming the prize, entrants will be deemed to have read and accepted these terms and agree to be bound by them.
- The competition is open to any person aged 18 and over, except for employees of Sykes and their families, partners, and anyone else connected with the creation and administration of the promotion.
Competition Entry
- Sykes reserves the right to alter or amend the methods of entry or The Competition at any time.
- To enter The Competition, the described action must be completed between 00.01 01/09/2022 and 23.59 30/09/2022.
- Entry to the competition may only be made through the applicable method(s) indicated in the competition information. The Competition is open to all brands within the Sykes Holiday Cottages Family with multiple methods of entry. Not all of the following methods of entry may be available to each brand in each competition.
- The method of entry “Book a holiday (worth 5 entries)” describes the action of booking a holiday with the Sykes Holiday Cottages Family and not the date of the holiday itself.
- The method of entry “Engage with us on social media” describes the action of commenting on one of the Sykes Holiday Cottages Family competition post on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. To enter by commenting on our Twitter post, accounts must be public in order to qualify for entry.
- The method of entry “Leave us a review”, describes the action of clicking the link, in an email, we’ll send you shortly after your holiday, and leaving us a review on our website. To enter via this method, you must have stayed with Sykes Holiday Cottages Family within the last twelve (12) months and be the person who made the booking.
- The method of entry “Download (and Login to) our new App (Worth 3 entries)”, describes the action of downloading and logging in to the Sykes Holiday Cottages ‘only’ app for the first time (available on iPhone and Android).
- The method of entry “Enter your email address”, describes the action of subscribing to our emails by entering your email into one of our sign up forms on the Sykes Holiday Cottages ‘only’ website. This method of entry is only available to new subscribers.
- The method of entry “Signing up to Sykes Holiday Cottages Loyalty Scheme”, describes the action of signing up to Sykes Holiday Cottages ‘only’ Loyalty scheme, on our website or through an email invitation.
- Bonus method of entry for people subscribed to email marketing from any brand within the Sykes Holiday Cottages Family: On receiving a launch email for the competition, “click on the link below’ titled “Enter me into the competition” describes the action of clicking the email button and qualifies for one entry into the competition. This method of entry can be used once per email address and is only available to the original recipient of the email.
- Complete our customer survey for people subscribed to email marketing from any brand within the Sykes Holiday Cottages Family: On receiving a customer survey email, “complete and submit the survey” describes the action of clicking the submit button at the end of the survey and qualifies for three entries into the competition. This method of entry can be used once per email address and is only available to the original recipient of the email.
- Multiple entries using the same method, by the same person will only be accepted for entries via “Book a holiday”
- No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
Prizes
- The Competition prize is £500 of Sykes holiday vouchers.
- The Competition opens at 00.01 01/09/2022 and closes at 23.59 30/09/2022.
- The winner will be selected at random and contacted before 26/10/2022. Winners must claim their prize within 10 working days of notification or the prize will be void and a new winner selected.
- Sykes decision on the winner is final.
- The winner must provide proof of identity upon request.
- Sykes is entitled to refuse to process any prize where it deems necessary. For example, if you are unable to or fail to produce sufficient identification when claiming a prize.
- Sykes will not be held accountable for any costs, losses, damages and expenses (including travel fees) which the winner may incur in relation to The Competition or prize or as a result of any misrepresentation of the prize.
- The Sykes holiday vouchers are valid for a period of two (2) years from the date of issue. Any remaining balance on a gift voucher may no longer be used after the expiry of its validity period.
- Sykes reserves the right to declare The Competition null and void, and stage another competition in its place.
- The Competition prize is non-transferable and there shall be no alternative prize or cash alternative offered.
- By claiming The Competition prize constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England.
Data Protection and Publicity
- Sykes Holiday Cottages (or any brand within the Sykes Holiday Cottages Family) may exercise its sole discretion to use the winner’s name, email address, image and their comments relating to the prize and competition experience for future promotional marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice or without any fee being paid.
