What is Sykes Bloom?
Sykes Bloom is the new rewards scheme from Sykes. It is free to join via the Sykes customer app, whether you have holidayed with us in the past or not.
How do I join Sykes Bloom?
To become a Sykes Bloom member, you will need to have a Sykes customer account. If you don’t already have one, you can easily create one on the Sykes customer app. If you do already have an account, you just need to sign in with your username and password. You can then tap to join Sykes Bloom in the app. It’s as easy as that.
How do I progress through the levels?
Your membership level is determined by the number of nights of qualifying bookings that you have. Qualifying bookings are bookings of properties (other than Forest Holidays properties) that you have made via Sykes and have completed (i.e. checked out of) within the last 2 years.

Level 1 = Members with no past bookings, or 6 or less nights of qualifying bookings.
Level 2 = Members with 7 to 13 nights of qualifying bookings.
Level 3 = Members with 14 or more nights of qualifying bookings.

Your level will automatically change depending on the number of nights of your qualifying bookings.
Will my previous bookings count towards my level?
Any booking of a property (other than Forest Holidays properties) that you have made via Sykes and have completed (i.e. checked out of) within the last 2 years will count towards your level and you’ll be able to access your Sykes Bloom rewards that apply to your membership immediately.

Please note: the same Sykes customer account, that’s linked with your Sykes Bloom membership, must be used to book all of your stays, to ensure all your booking history is counted. If you have previously booked under a different name or with a different phone number those bookings will not count towards your total. We may be able to add them to your account if we can identify your bookings.
I’m a Sykes Bloom member. Why can’t I see my membership details on the website?
Sykes Bloom is an app-exclusive rewards scheme and so you need to log in to your Sykes customer account in the Sykes customer app in order to see all of your Sykes Bloom information. To access your Sykes Bloom rewards, simply sign into the app and go to “Account”.
How can I redeem my Sykes Bloom discount?
You can see the Sykes Bloom rewards that you are entitled to in “Account” in the Sykes customer app. Your discount can be redeemed against any booking you make in the app, when logged into your Sykes customer account. Your discount will be automatically applied at the in-app checkout. 
What happens if I cancel a booking?
If you cancel a booking, it won’t count as a qualifying booking as it was not completed, and so, it won’t count towards your Sykes Bloom level. You need to have completed your stay in order for it to be a qualifying booking and count towards your Sykes Bloom level.
Has Sykes Bloom replaced Sykes Rewards?
Yes. Sykes Bloom is the new rewards scheme from Sykes. All Sykes Rewards members can join Sykes Bloom and enjoy their Sykes Bloom rewards straightaway.
Can I still use my Sykes Rewards vouchers?
Yes. You can use your Sykes Rewards voucher if it is unused and has not yet expired.

Sykes Bloom Terms and Conditions

SYKES BLOOM TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Sykes Bloom (Sykes Bloom) is a rewards scheme operated by Sykes Cottages Ltd (company no. 4469189), One City Place, Chester, CH1 3BQ (Sykes).
  2. Sykes Bloom offers rewards (Rewards) to members of Sykes Bloom (Members) and by joining Sykes Bloom (see the section below), you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to these terms and conditions that apply to your membership of Sykes Bloom.
  3. Sykes Bloom is exclusive to the Sykes mobile app for booking holiday cottages (App) and Sykes Bloom and/or any Rewards are not available on any other platform, for example, they are not available on any of Sykes’ websites or when telephoning Sykes via the Sykes call centre. You must download the App to access Sykes Bloom.

JOINING SYKES BLOOM AND ELIGIBILITY

  1. It's easy to become a member of Sykes Bloom (Member), to join, ensure you’re logged into your Sykes customer account in the App and just tap to 'Join Bloom'. Members must be aged 18 or over. Companies and businesses are not eligible to join Sykes Bloom.

SYKES BLOOM REWARDS LEVELS

  1. There are 3 different Sykes Bloom levels (each, a Rewards Level and together, the Rewards Levels), based on the number of nights of a Member's Qualifying Bookings (see below).
  2. Qualifying Bookings are booking(s) of selected properties that a Member has made (with the email address that the Member has used for their Sykes customer account) via Sykes and has completed (i.e. checked-out of) within the last 2 years. Any booking(s) of any propert(y/ies) made via any of Sykes' sub-agents, and/or any bookings of Forest Holidays’ properties (denoted on the Sykes website/App by the text ‘Forest Holidays’ and the Forest Holidays ‘green leaf symbol’ on such properties) made via Sykes, are excluded from Sykes Bloom and do not count as Qualifying Booking(s).
  3. Each Rewards Level provides different Rewards.
  4. The 3 different Rewards Levels are, and if you’re a Member, how your Rewards Level is determined is, as follows:
    • Rewards Level 1: Join Sykes Bloom in the App.
    • Rewards Level 2: You will move to Rewards Level 2 once you have 7 to 13 nights of Qualifying Booking(s) - don’t worry, the Qualifying Booking(s) can be one 7-night Qualifying Booking or multiple short-break Qualifying Bookings.
    • Rewards Level 3: You will move to Rewards Level 3 once you have 14 or more nights of Qualifying Bookings - again, don’t worry, the Qualifying Booking(s) may be across one 14 (or more) night Qualifying Booking or spread across multiple Qualifying Bookings.
  5. The Rewards Level of you, as a Member, will change automatically depending on the number of nights of your Qualifying Booking(s). For example, on the day that:
    • you complete and check-out of a Qualifying Booking, the number of nights of that Qualifying Booking will be added to your total number of nights of Qualifying Bookings for the purposes of determining your Rewards Level, and your Rewards Level will be adjusted accordingly; and
    • a Qualifying Booking ceases to be a Qualifying Booking as the date that you completed and checked-out of it was over 2 years ago, the number of nights of that booking will be removed from your total number of nights of Qualifying Bookings and your Rewards Level will be adjusted accordingly.
  6. If we believe that you did not complete a booking(s) (for example, if you cancel a booking) (Non-Qualifying Booking), we reserve the right to remove any such Non-Qualifying Booking(s) and your Rewards Level will be changed accordingly. This may happen if you cancel a booking which would make your booking invalid.
  7. You can check your Sykes Bloom membership on the App to view your current Rewards Level and how many nights of Qualifying Booking(s) that you are away from the next Rewards Level.

SYKES BLOOM REWARDS

  1. We may issue Rewards to you at our sole discretion and subject to these terms and conditions and any individual Rewards criteria that apply to them.
  2. You may, for example, receive a Reward when entering a new Rewards Level following the completion of a Qualifying Booking(s). Any Reward(s) earned will depend on the promotional campaign that is available at the time. We will provide you with details of any Reward(s) when it/they become(s) available to you to earn and/or use.
  3. The Rewards that are offered and/or available to you will be dependent upon your Rewards Level, and such Rewards will be as set out in the App and/or notified to you from time to time.
  4. Sykes reserves the right to alter and/or change any and/or all of the Rewards offered to Members of each Rewards Level at any time, at its sole discretion.
  5. Sykes may offer Sykes Bloom Rewards to non-Sykes Bloom members, as Sykes may choose.
  6. Membership of Sykes Bloom and any Rewards are non-transferable and are linked to a specific Sykes customer account. Rewards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  7. We reserve the right to audit any and all Sykes customer accounts that are members of Sykes Bloom at any time and without notice to the Member, to ensure compliance with Sykes Bloom or investigate (alleged) fraud or misuse.
  8. The Rewards cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount outside of the Sykes Bloom Rewards, without Sykes' prior consent.

GENERAL

  1. Sykes Bloom is for your personal use only; use of Sykes Bloom and/or any Rewards for business use is strictly prohibited and constitutes abuse. Sykes reserves the right, either at the point of making a booking, or retrospectively, to determine whether a transaction constitutes business use.
  2. Sykes can take any action it considers appropriate, including cancelling or suspending membership of Sykes Bloom, your Sykes customer account and/or any Rewards accrued, if Sykes considers (at its sole discretion) that you are abusing the scheme or associated offer(s), and/or if you do not comply with these terms and conditions and/or any terms and conditions associated with Sykes Bloom.
  3. Sykes may investigate instances of fraud, misuse, and/or abuse of Sykes Bloom and/or any Rewards at any time and without notice to the relevant Member(s). This may result in membership being cancelled.
  4. If membership of Sykes Bloom is cancelled, any accrued Rewards will be lost.
  5. Sykes will remove all Rewards that haven’t been used within 2 years of being awarded, and upon cancellation of your Sykes Bloom membership.
  6. If Sykes identifies (in Sykes’ reasonable opinion) that you have two or more Sykes customer accounts, Sykes may merge them into one account at our sole discretion and Sykes may also merge any Rewards associated with such accounts.
  7. Sykes can cancel, withdraw, and/or alter Sykes Bloom at any time without notice, including these terms and conditions, the Rewards Levels, the criteria for qualifying for each Rewards Level, and any associated Rewards and/or any other benefits associated with Sykes Bloom or any individual Sykes customer account.
  8. If Sykes makes any error in calculating your Qualifying Booking(s), Rewards Level and/or Rewards, Sykes can change or correct any balances shown.
  9. Sykes Bloom has no end date and will continue until Sykes closes it, which could happen at any time. If Sykes chooses to close Sykes Bloom, you will have 30 days from when we announce its closure to redeem any Rewards you have. After that date, you will lose your Rewards and you will not be compensated.
  10. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
  11. By joining Sykes Bloom, you agree to receive email communications from Sykes that include details of Sykes Bloom Member Rewards - such as early access to sales, member-only competitions, and updates on your Sykes Bloom Reward Level and your Rewards. These communications are an essential part of Sykes Bloom and are designed to keep you informed about your Sykes Bloom Rewards.
  12. All other marketing emails will only be sent if you have provided your consent. These may include updates on third-party discounts and offers, as well as other promotional content. You can manage your communication preferences at any time through your Sykes customer account settings or by using the unsubscribe link included in each marketing email.
Competition Terms & Conditions

INTRODUCTION

  1. These are the terms and conditions that apply to the prize draw(s) (Prize Draw) with the title "Win your favourite holiday!" that is/are being run by the Promoter (as defined below) on the Sykes Cottages Ltd (Sykes) mobile application for booking holiday cottages (App).

  2. The Prize Draw(s) is/are exclusively for members of the Sykes Bloom rewards scheme (Sykes Bloom) only.

  3. There will be a separate Prize Draw each month that a Prize Draw is promoted in the App. When there is a Prize Draw being run in a month, it will run from [00:01 The first of the month] (Opening Date) to [23:59 the last day of the month] (Closing Date) (Prize Draw Period).

  4. By entering a Prize Draw, you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  5. The promoter for the Prize Draw is Sykes of One City Place, Queens Road, Chester, CH1 3BQ (Promoter and Promoter's Address).

HOW TO ENTER A PRIZE DRAW

  1. To enter a Prize Draw, a participant must:

    • be a member of Sykes Bloom (Member);
    • immediately prior to the end of the applicable Prize Draw Period, have one or more property saved in their 'Favourites' when signed into their Sykes customer account on the App. A Member can add one or more property to their 'Favourites' by tapping the 'heart symbol' on a property when signed into their Sykes customer account on the App; and
    • during the applicable Prize Draw Period, the Member must have tapped on the 'Enter Now' button to enter the relevant Prize Draw in the App, (this is an Entry).

  2. Entry to a Prize Draw must have been made before the relevant Prize Draw’s Closing Date. An Entry to a Prize Draw received after its Closing Date won’t be accepted.

  3. The Promoter will not (a) accept responsibility for Prize Draw entries that are lost, regardless of cause, including, for example due to equipment and/or system failure or a technical malfunction or (b) accept proof of an Entry by any means other than what appears to the Promoter on the Promoter’s system as proof of entry into a Prize Draw as and when the Promoter checks this after the Closing Date for the relevant Prize Draw.

ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER A PRIZE DRAW

  1. Prize Draws are open only to Members of Sykes Bloom based in the UK and aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Promoter and their family members.

  2. On entering a Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so. The Promoter may require proof of this.

  3. The Promoter will not accept any Entry that is (a) automatically generated by computer, (b) completed by a third party or in bulk and/or (c) incomplete.

  4. Participants are eligible to one Entry per Prize Draw.

  5. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you from a Prize Draw if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of a Prize Draw.

THE PRIZE FOR A PRIZE DRAW

  1. The prize (Prize) for a Prize Draw is a gift voucher (Gift Voucher), which can be used in the manner set out in this section, and there will be 1 Prize in total for each Prize Draw.

  2. The total value of a Gift Voucher will be:

unless stated otherwise on the App during the appliable Prize Draw Period.

  1. The Gift Voucher is not in paper form and rather, the Promoter will add an amount equal to the value of the Gift Voucher for the applicable Prize Draw to the Winner's customer account with the Promoter.

  2. The value of the credit added to the Winner’s account may be used by the Winner towards a future booking(s) for one of the Winner’s favourited properties (see clause 21 below) (subject to availability and excluding any Forest Holidays’ properties (denoted on the Sykes website/App by the text ‘Forest Holidays’ and the Forest Holidays ‘green leaf symbol’ on such properties)) (Future Booking(s)). The Promoter does not guarantee a stay at one of your favourited properties.

  3. The value of the Gift Voucher must be used on Future Booking(s) within 2 years of the date that the Gift Voucher is issued. If the Winner does not make use of any/all of the balance of the Gift Voucher prior to the end of this period, any remaining balance will be lost.

  4. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any Prize with a prize of equal or greater value.

  5. Each Prize is not negotiable or transferable.

  6. The customer must call the Promoter’s call centre on 01244 356666 to make a booking using the credit added to their customer account. The credit cannot be used as payment towards any booking(s) made via any other method. The Promoter reserves the right to change this in the future and the Promoter will notify the Winner(s) of any such changes. If the Winner makes a Future Booking using the Prize and such Future Booking is subsequently cancelled, any refund that the Winner would be entitled to under the terms and conditions that apply to the Future Booking as a result of the cancellation will be refunded in the form of credit applied to the Winner’s customer account with the Promoter.

THE WINNER OF A PRIZE DRAW

  1. There will be 1 winner (a Winner) of each Prize Draw and each Winner will be selected at random by the Promoter's computer system (Generator). The decision of the Generator, in relation to its role in the process, will be final.

  2. The promoter shall select the Winner after the Closing Date and to be eligible to be a Winner of a Prize Draw, a participant must remain a member of Sykes Bloom at the time the Winner is selected.

  3. The Promoter will send details of the Generator used for the applicable Prize Draw to anyone who writes to the Promoter within one month of that Prize Draw’s Closing Date requesting them.

  4. The decision of the Promoter, having used the Generator, is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

  5. The Promoter will contact the Winner as soon as reasonably practicable after the Closing Date by emailing the Winner using the email address connected to their Sykes customer account (Notification).

  6. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place took place in relation to a Prize Draw. The Promoter will send the surname and county of the Winner of the relevant Prize Draw to anyone who emails dpo@sykescottages.co.uk or writes to the Promoter at the Promoter’s Address, in both instances, within one month after the Closing Date of a Prize Draw.

  7. If you object to any or all of your surname and/or county being published or made available, please email dpo@sykescottages.co.uk or write to the Promoter at the Promoter's Address. In such circumstances the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

  8. The Promoter will process your personal data as set out in the https://www.sykescottages.co.uk/terms/privacypolicy. This can be accessed in the app in 'Account > Settings & Legal'.

CLAIMING A PRIZE

  1. If you are a Winner of a Prize Draw (you will have received a Notification – see clause 25 above), you must respond to marketingvouchers@sykescottages.co.uk to claim it and the amount will be applied in accordance with clause 17 above. The Winner will have 10 days from the date of the Notification to claim it. If the Winner does not claim the Prize by this date, the Winner’s claim will become invalid, and a new winner will be selected using the same method set out in clause 22 above.

  2. A Prize may not be claimed by a third party on a Winner’s behalf.

  3. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if a Winner is not able to take up a Prize.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  1. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents and/or distributors will not in any circumstance(s) be responsible or liable to compensate any person that has entered a Prize Draw and/or any Winner of a Prize Draw, or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of any person entering a Prize Draw and/or accepting a Prize, except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter or its employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

GENERAL

  1. Apple, Google and/or any other third party are not a sponsor of, and are not in any way involved in, a Prize Draw in any manner.

  2. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend a Prize Draw where it considers (in its sole discretion) that it becomes necessary to do so.

  3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
