Prefect location for pubs, restaurants, bakery and small shops. We were five couples and there was loads of space in bedrooms, sitting rooms and kitchen/dinner,We would definitely stay again. One small problem if all bedrooms are using the showers at the same time the water on the second floor bedrooms runs slow, but thats been a bit picky…We all really enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for the feedback Nigel. I’m really glad you enjoyed your stay. We have never had the feedback about the showers before so thank you for letting me know and I will look into this. We would love to see you again x Property Owner

  • "What a fabulous property!"

The house is amazing and has everything you could possibly need. The owners have thought of everything and are really helpful and accommodating when answering queries. The house is in a perfect location, 5 min walk from the sea and the centre of Whitby. It has a parking space at the back and the owner leaves parking permits for other cars that you have which you can then park within certain zones. The house is tastefully decorated and we have joked that if we win the lottery we would love to buy it. There is a fabulous bakery just a stones throw away and pubs , shops etc are all just a short stroll away. Highly recommended

For some reason first floor bedroom rads were not working whilst all others were…and yes they were turned to the highest level. But the house was very clean and comfortable with all the cooking facilities available.we all had a great holiday break

Hi David. Thank you for your feedback. I’m so glad you enjoyed your break. In the welcome pack it gives my number for any issues in the property during your stay. I would have gladly arranged for someone to immediately look at the heating if there was an issue. I will speak to our housekeeping team about the hand wash as we have pumps in every bathroom, toilet and in the kitchen. We hope to see you again in the future Property Owner

  • "We had a fantastic relaxing time everything about the house is as described, very comfortable beds and good showers our only issue was the step up to the utility it could be highlighted as one of our party fell up it causing her bruising, also people need to be aware as well as the car space being small the roads around the square are very narrow and can be testing to navigate, after saying all that I would highly recommend Stewart House."

Thank you for your lovely feedback about the house Sue. I am glad that you all enjoyed it. We do put a note on the advert around the parking as I agree, the roads are very narrow and old wordly around the house. It would be very difficult to highlight the step as its a full size step just like the step leading into the house or up the stairs etc rather than say a threshold bar that sticks up that is unexpected. I appreciate you letting me know though and I do hope the member of your party is ok. We hope to see you again in the future x Property Owner

It has some generous sized rooms and is comfortably furnished. The kitchen is well equipped. The windows have roller blinds which, for me, allowed in too much light. The beds were comfortable but those with wooden frames are creaky. The whole family enjoyed our stay and we would recommend the house.

Thank you so much for your feedback Viv. We recently stayed at the house and couldn't hear any creaks in the beds so I am unsure what happened there. The blinds are all black out so they block out as much light as we can. A good nights sleep for guests is very important to us so thank you for your feedback. Thank you for your feedback. We agree it’s a great spot. Unfortunately, we have as much control around Parking Attendants as we do the Seagulls stealing peoples chips! The parking rules are clearly marked around the area. Whitby isn’t easy for parking due to how popular it is so we feel lucky to have the spot we have and I hope you managed to make use of this. We also send out a very lengthy document explaining all about parking to prepare you for your stay. Thanks again and I will reiterate to future guests to check the parking signs before parking. One space for a small car at the back of property and no space outside the house you had to find parking on neighbouring streets. ( parking discs provided ) Unfortunately it was a very busy weekend and we had to use public car parks for all our 4 cars. We had a very enjoyable stay and the house had all our comforts catered for.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad you liked the house and location. Unfortunately, parking is always an issue in Whitby through the nicer months. We do explain in the advert that the private space is tight; as it is. We do feel super lucky to even have the space we have as lots of places have nothing at all. All the rooms are homely and beautifully decorated and it is in a great spot for exploring Whitby. We would definitely book again for our large group of work colleagues. We liked the atmosphere of the house so much that we stayed in for all our meals, mostly from great local takeaways. On the downside, the lack of parking was a concern until we found street parking spots and used the scratch cards provided in the house. There were plenty of these available for our stay. In the kitchen we felt more tea towels, dishwasher tabs, j cloths and spare bin bags would have been useful and we did find a few sticky spots/door handles in here. Also some logs for the log burner would've been nice. Otherwise, a brilliant venue for our stay in Whitby that we thoroughly enjoyed!

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay with us :). As a self catering home, we provide a starter pack to make sure you don't have to think about anything whilst getting settled into your stay, the same with the wood burner. We appreciate your feedback and I will let housekeeping know about the points you have mentioned. We hope to welcome you again one day Property Owner

The house was centrally situated for a short walk to Whitby, the owner was most obliging and was in contact with me before we arrived to answer questions and supply extra parking permits. Lovely personal touches left like tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes (even some bottles of fizz) for us to enjoy and was also kind enough to allow us a late check out as the house wasn’t booked on the day we left. This meant we had time to cook breakfast in the well equipped kitchen before our journeys home - lovely to have plenty cutlery and plates glasses etc and good quality cooking equipment. The high quality continues throughout the house for towels and bedding and all bathrooms had toiletries to use. The house is big enough to accommodate a large group without feeling too crowded.
