We enjoyed lots of beautiful coastal walks as well as some yummy lunches in Cullen and Portsoy. We will definitely be back to this beautiful part of Scotland and would happily recommend this cottage.

  • "The booking process itself through Sykes was extremely easy, quick and user-friendly."

A comprehensive confirmation was sent to us including several details from the owners. Details of location, parking and key pickups was also provided making the arrival at the cottage very straightforward. The cottage itself was immaculate and the welcome basket was indeed very welcoming! It even included treats for our dogs! Beds were comfortable and warm with lots of wardrobe and drawer space if required. Kitchen and bathroom were both spotless and had plenty of storage. Our only niggle was the shower. The pressure was very poor and we both had to use it as a hand spray. The temperature was good though and I don’t know if perhaps we didn’t use it properly. Would suggest perhaps that it is checked out anyway. I have chosen not to mark the cottage down because of the shower though because in every other way it was perfect and I highly recommend. Thank you very much ❤️

  • "Enjoyed our 1 week stay at Seaspray cottage."

Very clean and well equipped. As others have commented neighbours are very friendly and cottage just about 50 yards from the promenade at the sea. Yardie conservation area is close to Buckie’s shopping amenities and only 10-12 minutes walk to a fast EV charging facility. Only minor critisms, namely only 1 toilet roll in property on arrival and salt/ pepper grinders were empty but otherwise all good and bed very comfortable.

Thank you for your great review David, we as so glad you enjoyed your stay at Seaspray Cottage. We will add an extra loo roll. Salt and pepper grinders in the kitchen topped up. We have just fitted a doggie gate in the rear yard. Hope to have you back again. Property Owner

  • "This is a lovely modern cottage."

The furniture is modern with clean lines and has been thoughtfully decorated. However , is only big enough for 2 even though it states in the description that it’s big enough for 4. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, this could really do with replacing. The description is a bit misleading- the cottage is very close to the sea, but you are not able to walk on the beach because it is mainly rocks. However, a 10 minute walk brings you to a sandy/rocky beach you can walk on. I you can easily get to other areas by car. We went to Loch Ness but unfortunately didn’t see Nessy. Although parking is on a first come first served basis, we didn’t have any problems finding a space. It is on a narrow street, and you do tend to bump into the neighbours as you are coming and going, but they are very friendly (and love dogs). The welcome hamper was lovely, and appreciated by both humans and dogs ❤️

Thanks for the comments Valerie, we really appreciate guest's feedback and are always looking to improve anything we can that is within our control. We have replaced the mattress. So gald your dog had a lovely time as well x Property Owner

Small courtyard which was bonus to have in a fisherman's cottage, only downside is neighbouring cottages windows overlook seating area though there's nothing can be done about that. We loved our stay here and would certainly recommend it

Hello Margaret, Thank you for your lovely feedback. Very Kkind of you. We are so happy that you enjoyed your say at Seaspray. • "Fantastic wee cottage with everything you need for a cosy holiday."

The description states an inclosed garden which isn't strictly true as it is the bins that act as a fence at one end with plenty of room for a dog to get through. Perhaps an extensible stair gate across the front of the bins would work? Buckie is a great base to explore along the Moray coast with short drives to Cullen, Portsoy etc There are plenty of places close by to walk the dog. We had a fantastic time.

Hello Dorothy , thank you for your great comments, really appreciated. So glad you enjoyed your stay at the cottage. We are looking into a small gate for the rear yard as we are always looking to improve guests stay in anyway we can. Haste ye back! Thanks Jake & Louise Property Owner

Buckie is a small but lovely place with all that you need within a couple of minutes drive away, the coastline is very impressive we travelled 30 mins west to Lossiemouth for a day and 15-20 mins east where we visited Cullen, Banff and Macduff all worth seeing while up there by the gorgeous bright waves bashing against the rocks, Buckie took our hearts away and we shall think of the place when back home !!!

  • "Overall a great little cottage for a lovely quiet break, well within range of things to do."

Hosts communicated promptly and without issue, made sure they were on top of things. 1 small issue listed as enclosed garden which is not quite accurate as the bins are used to shut off garden but small dog would get through gaps, which our dog is, so would benefit from a fence to stop this. Overall a great place.

Good location for our favourite beach at Cullen. We have to raise one point though, we booked with the understanding that we had a secure dog friendly garden and Im sorry but a gravel covered yard blocked off with a couple of wheely bins does not match the description. luckily for us our dog is pretty big, but a little one would get out easily. One suggestion, will all the hard flooring, a sweeping brush would be very useful.

Our neighbours were friendly, but it is a quiet location, where you can hear the sea both day and night. If being mega picky a colander in the kitchen would have helped. But no real need to cook as there are plenty of places to eat along the coast. Linda's Chip shop in Cullen is recommended. Will use this cottage again when we visit the North East of Scotland.
