"Seaspray cottage was exactly as described."
Very clean, tastefully furnished with a great and easy to use heating system which is always useful when holidaying in October. When I contacted the owner about key code, he was very helpful in explaining how the heating system worked, places to visit, restaurants to eat at. Parking right next to cottage although we were advised to move car one very stormy day, by a helpful neighbour, as waves with sand and small pebbles could have reached it. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend this cottage. Mary

"This clean, comfortable and characterful cottage is set by the seafront with the varying sounds of the waves complementing the awesome views."
We loved it here. It felt just like a home from home for us. Everything we needed was provided and there’s a local well stocked Premier store a few minutes walk away. We ate (and drank) well at the local Seafield Arms where we were made to feel very welcome by the staff and friendly locals. The langoustines at the local fish and chip shop, Rockfish, were also excellent. On our last day we bought a selection of well priced and very fresh fish at the nearby Downies fish shop to take home with us. It’s a great base where you can just chill out as well as take interesting local bike rides and walks. The weather was mixed but we made sure we had the right clothes for all weathers. Kevin, the host, is very friendly and helpful and we are already looking forward to a return visit.

"Lovely house with stunning views in a nice little village."
The house is full of nice details and the contact with the owner was fine. We really enjoyed it!

"Lovely location right by the sea."
Old fisherman’s cottage tastefully refurbished. The stairs are very steep and with the bend are quick tricky. No bathroom upstairs so a bit of a trek in the middle of the night down the windy stairs! Had difficulty getting the heating to go on but managed to find on you tube how to work it. I believe the owner is installing a hive system which will hopefully deal with that. Lovely village friendly people and hotel and restaurant for lovely meals. Small supermarket but well stocked with a food takeaway

"Whitehills is a lovely small harbour village."
It has a few restaurants one with a small bar, a well stocked local shop and a good chippie. It is advisable to book in advance as they are all busy and close early. The cottage is in a central location and has fantastic sea views. However, the cottage needs some upgrading. The lounge is very dark and feels quite closed in rather than cosy. The cooker has seen better days and is a bit temperamental. In saying that we had a good week and enjoyed the views including seeing dolphins, seals and many different birds.
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to give us your feedback. We have taken your comments on board, and the cooker has now been upgraded. We're glad you had a good week, and hope that we will see you again in the future. Property Owner

"The mattresses were old, cheap and past their best."
Our backs were sore for 5 days after leaving the property and we never got a decent night's sleep. Additionally the pillows were finished as well. Otherwise the cottage was fine, great views and very well appointed
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to give us your feedback. We have taken your comments on board, and the mattresses have been replaced and there are new additional pillows available for our guests. We're glad that you otherwise found the cottage well appointed. Property Owner

"Blissfully peaceful location."
.I could have spent every day sitting on the patio watching the tide changes, with a book and a glass of wine.

"This is a great cottage by the sea with a great view of the Moray Firth - very relaxing to watch the boats coming in and out of Whitehills Harbour."
The facilities are all great, love the kitchen dining area. Kevin is a great host and gave us plenty of tips about places to visit and some lovely coastal walks. You can park directly to the side of the property - makes it really easy to get unpacked. Get down to the Rockfish Cafe & Chip Shop - it's excellent!

"Fab cottage, very cosy and comfortable."
Great views out of the kitchen window. Heating and sound service easy to use. Managed to spot Dolphins swimming by. Sat outside a few times for breakfast and dinner. Table and chairs outside facing the sea. Lovely wee village, friendly locals. Only three eating places which stop serving food early but all three provided quality meals. Great pub. Cottage is well situated for access to coastal walks and has bus stop nearby which was very handy. Wee co op in the village for supplies also Downies and an ice cream place. We had a five star holiday.
