  • "We had a wonderful weekend in Moranva."

The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is superb, with the beach, shops and places to eat only a short walk away. We would recommend Moranva and will definitely stay again.

  • "Owner very friendly and helpful in advance."

Took a while to find cutlery drawer. Tin opener did not work - alarming for a self-catering holiday. Only tiny scissors. No sea view, as hedge too high. Cottage very clean and the shower extremely good. The pictures and sayings on the wall were not to our taste. Also do not like artificial flowers or square plates. The steep drive was manageable to a good driver, but why not show it on the original brochure? Llked the big TV and the one in the dining area was useful. We immediately missed having a radio. Maybe a warning about the steep climb from the beach. Fish and chips within walking distance at Oceans and kept hot for 10 minutes walking back.

The bungalow was very well equipped, very spacious, very clean and in a great location, everything you need is within walking distance or not too far away. We very much liked our welcome pack too and will most probably be booking to stay here next year so we can explore Anglesey more. I must add that we’ve never had such comfortable beds when on our holidays. Thank you for letting us stay in your fab bungalow.

  • "A well decorated, spacious, clean and quiet cottage."

The view from the kitchen is great when the sun is shining, and all the rooms get lots of natural light. It’s also easy to head out for walks directly from the cottage. I stayed in late June so the absence of blinds at the long windows in the dining area of the kitchen didn’t bother me but that would be a great addition for stays at other times of the year.

Perfect place for our 4 night stay. The property was clean, spacious and well equipped. The 2 carers said our 2 autistic friends found the bungalow easy to move around and are eager to visit again soon. The host, Mr Williams, was very kind and considerate and accommodated our special needs. I would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful cottage.

  • "The property owner was good at communicating before our stay to let us know the time we could arrive, key collection details and property/village information."

We were also given 2 phone numbers which we could have used if the need arose. During our stay a gardener came to cut the grass and tidy the garden. We found the property easily with the directions given and were very happy with the location which is on a residential, quiet street, but is easily walkable to the beach in a few minutes and the village amenities in around 10mins. We were expecting the drive to be steep from reading previous reviews and it is rather steep, but we managed it no problem by the driver reversing down being guided by the other and when going out 1 person guided the driver to help with restricted visibility. It did help having an automatic vehicle. The house itself is well furnished with an open plan lounge, 2 double bedrooms, a modern kitchen/diner and shower room. There are so many cupboards in the kitchen that it takes a couple of days to remember where things are, there is a fridge, freezer, washing machine, dryer, iron, vacuum cleaner but no dishwasher, however you do get a lovely sea view while washing up! The kitchen had a lot more plates, cups, glasses, utensils etc. than we needed with only 2 of us for a week. The lounge and bedrooms are carpeted and the colour of this is rather light for a rental property. We didn't find this a problem as we always remove our outdoor shoes in the porch at home, so did the same here, but you can see that not everyone has done this, especially in the lounge. The heating came on at set times morning and evening and we found the house to be very cosy. There are plenty shops, cafes, takeaways, pubs etc in the village. The bedroom we used had a firm but comfortable bed, We slept well as it was quiet but then we were also hiking around 7 miles every day on the fabulous coastal path! We found it was very easy to drive anywhere on the beautiful island from Benllech and would definitely return in the future.

  • "Lovely situated bungalow in a fantastic location."

Stay was cut short by being unable to settle on the seating provided. Namely the two settees both of which we found to be extremely low and with no head support. We are both now in our late sixties and appreciate comfort on our stay.. The steep path at the front was another negative for those of a certain age or with mobility issues maybe worth a mention.. Finally the lack of control with the heating ..having to ask like Oliver twist for the gas heating to be turned on as the battery on the wall was nearly flat. Other aspects couldn't be faulted but we decided to ut our stay short by three days because of the above and to be honest felt like there was a gun to our head regarding the 100 pound bond on the property in case we broke anything etc

We have listened to your feedback regarding the sofas, we now have leather sofas which are a lot more comfortable . Apologies for the issue with the heating, we did replace the batteries in the controller the next morning after you notified us of the issue, hence why I remotely turned the heating on as you requested during this time. Regarding the good housekeeping bond, we have never not returned the bond in the 7 years we have been operating, if they odd cup or plate gets broken this is not as issue as this would clearly be unintentional. We take the bond to ensure the cottage is looked after so our future customers can enjoy a well kept property. I’m sorry you felt this way regarding the bond. Property Owner

Great location for the beach and exploring the rest of Anglesey. Unfortunately, there was hair still in the drain, in the wet room and crumbs on the kitchen table when we arrived. However, there were a number of comments in the Visitor’s Book, saying how clean the bungalow was so this could have been just a “one off”! We enjoyed our stay in Anglesey but unfortunately the experience has been marred, as after 8 days we are still waiting for the £100 House Keeping bond to be returned. (Despite the conditions stating it should be returned within 7 days, and having to chase this with Sykes twice to-date). Very disappointed!

It’s a fairly short walk to the village shops and not too far from the beach. Unfortunately the steps at the bottom of Bay View Road we’re being rebuilt at the time of our stay, hopefully they will be completed long before our return visit in September. There is also a public footpath near the steps which brings you out further along the beach. Loved the artistic touches, especially the one in the fireplace replacing the wood burner. We enjoyed our walks along the beach and coast path without feeling the need to travel further afield.

I could have sworn i booked closer to Beaumaris. However, putting that aside, it was early evening when i arrived at the cottage. Upon entering, my daughter and I had a quick look around, her shotgunning the main bedroom, we found the complimentry welcome package. What a lovely touch. The cake was very lovely. The morning view out of the Kitchen window to the Irish Sea was just beautiful. The sky was blue, the sun was out, and i soon forgot that i wanted to be closer to Beaumaris. I was right there and then, happy i had messed up on the booking. We walked down to the bay, which only took us 5 minutes. The tide was out, so had to go the hill path, but that was great. Scenery was breathtaking. Tide was out on the way back so we followed the beach home. Our visit to Anglesey was absolutley wonderful, i have not heard a bad word about the island, from anyone i have spoken to, and would recommend a visit to all if asked, or not. I would also recommend this wonderful cottage. The location is excellent for anyone who wants a quiet area, and is a good base camp for the whole island.
