  • "We had a lovely stay at this stunning apartment - the views are incredible and the apartment was well equipped and furnished to a high standard."

It is also really well located and despite being quite high up the road access is really good and simple to drive. The box of games/sports equipment was a nice touch too. The kitchen had everything you might need and the little welcome pack of goodies was lovely. The only negative thing I have to say is that the master bedroom was very warm, even with the fan on and despite having huge impressive windows, they don’t open so the only ventilation option is to leave the patio door open which I wasn’t comfortable with while I was sleeping. Having said that, I would love to stay here again because everything else was perfect!

  • "If Carlsberg did a holiday cottage it would look something like this!"

Bryn Mel apartment (No7) is by far the best place we have stayed. Spacious, comfortable, very high quality fixtures & fittings and a spectacular bedroom balcony with fabulous views. We have booked again for next year. The only negative is the condition of the boardwalk. There are broken handrails and the lower half is treacherously slippy. It is an accident waiting to happen.

  • "I want to start with how much we love this apartment."

We’ve stayed in a few different apartments in Bryn Mel Manor but this one is our absolute favourite and this was our 3rd stay here. Our 18 yr old daughter absolutely loves it too. It’s a perfect base to explore or just relax and breathe in the sensational view. Our stay this time was spoilt by boiler issues that were raised with Sykes directly. Obviously this wasn’t a planned problem so we were very patient and amicable while I spent 4 days glued to my phone waiting for callbacks from Sykes and waiting in for an Engineer. It was Easter weekend with 2 bank holidays which possibly slowed responses down. Again we tried to be very understanding but the situation was causing me some stress because we were told we may need to move somewhere else which wasn’t ideal. The Housekeeping Manager even came to try and help and told us we should’ve had a welcome basket. We had only received a packet of Welsh cakes and arrived to a kitchen we had to clean over ourselves. We eventually ended up with an outcome that just about suited us. I would assume the boiler issue will have been rectified now and won’t cause anyone any further problems. The last few days of our break were relaxing and we would like to visit again. It’s a beautiful apartment and we know how great stays here can be from past experience. I did hold off posting this because a Sykes manager was supposed to call me back within 48 hours of us returning from holiday to make some amends. After 2 weeks that looks unlikely.

  • "We have stayed in this apartment and the one above previously."

The views from here are amazing, the apartment is bright and modern. The facilities are really good. However, there seemed to be a lump in the double bed in the small bedroom. It would be better if this bed was changed to a King size one anyway as there is space. On a personal note I would prefer to have bath sheets rather than bath towels. We were unlucky enough to be in Wales when the '20mph' came into force. My husband says he will not come back to Wales again until it goes back - traffic was building up in places even at this time of year.

  • "The milk in the welcome pack was out of date."

The Welsh cakes were reduced to crumbs in the pack. Place mate weren't cleaned properly. The wall mirror in the bath room was missing. The table in the covered outside area was filthy, we had to clean it several times before we could use it. The area had not been swept clean. The comunial entrance did not give a good first impression. The number sent by email to the key safe was the wrong number.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay, this is a spacious very well equipped apartment with panoramic views across the straight to Snowdonia."

Plenty of lovely walking and and sight seeing in a great part of Wales. Cleaner had generally prepared property well but had missed the odd item although that is perhaps being picky. Eg What we take to be toothbrush holder. Address also included in some correspondence Dolphin House which is actually a separate property. No problem with awarding all 5 stars and hope to go back.

  • "We loved staying in Bryn Mel."

So much so we hardly left all week. The views are stunning and ever changing. The apartment itself was very quiet, the building was busy over bank holiday weekend but we heard no one. The apartment is well appointed with good instructions. Access was great and parking was easy. The key safe was very tricky to use but we got there in the end. The mattress on the master bedroom bed is showing signs of age. If replacing, a king size bed would be a great addition. Overall we had a restful holiday and neither of the above points would deter us from returning. A huge thank you to the owner for sharing this stunning property with us.

  • "Bryn Mel gave you the wow factor when you entered the apartment."

Much bigger than the photos suggest, stylish, good quality furnishings and with the most amazing views. There was everything you could ask for and clear guidance on how to use the appliances, which was very useful. The coastal walks maps were a thoughtful extra. King size beds would be an added bonus (the rooms are big enough to take them), and a washing machine would be useful. Overall, a very relaxing stay in an amazing location. We would happily return.

  • "We did have a fabulous stay at Bryn Mel apartment."

We left some comments for the owner and he did ask us to pass these on to you as well. Some of the crockery is chipped and needs replacing. The mats in the entrance halls, both inside and out, are starting to curl and are a trip hazard. The recycling bins had not been emptied and were completely full. The vacuum cleaner had not been emptied for some time and it was difficult to clear out. There was mention of a welcome pack in the notes but there was nothing in the apartment. From a personal point of view, the beds with their footboards are too short and sleeping on the sofa is difficult because the fridge is quite noisy. Lighter weight quilts would be preferable in warmer weather and blackout blinds would be welcome in the bedrooms. Please let me have your response to these comments and forward this email to the owner as we have added some extra comments to those left at the property. Regards, Michael Smith.

  • "The apartment was lovely and very well equipped."

I have not been impressed with Sykes as they seem to be extremely difficult to get in to contact with. For example, my daughter left a personal possession at the apartment and I sent an email to Sykes asking if it had been found and nearly weeks later there has not been a reply. We have previously booked apartments with Home and Away and you book with the owner - much better contact and customer support!

The Apartment was beautifully furnished and had everything that we needed for a very relaxing stay . The views are sublime from every room and we particularly liked the Observation Lounge off the main bedroom . Being in Menai Bridge is so convenient for the whole of Anglesey and Snowdonia . We even had very good weather . We are regular users of Menai Holiday Cottages and visitors to Anglesey and will definitely return to this Flat . I must apologise for forgetting to write a message in the book in the flat . We were too busy chatting to the bin man who helped us sort the rubbish . Please tell the owners how much we liked No 7

The owner really helpful. We found it very relaxing to stay here, a lovely building in an amazing setting. The weather wasn't great and the apartment was warm and very comfortable. A few small improvements, there were not many towels per person, no towel in the cloakroom. We found a supply of towels under a bed, towards the end of the holiday. And no mirrors in the bathrooms except small shaving mirrors. As there was no dressing table areas in the bedrooms, it was difficult for the ladies to style their hair. Not really a problem but unusual. An amazing place, with lovely grounds and we will look to return. Lovely holiday

The apartment was really spacious with fantastic views of the Menai Straits & the mountains-always something of interest to see. This place was luxurious with easy parking, huge tv, excellent kitchen/diner together with lovely bathrooms. Nice feeling of being in a well looked after & fairly new apartment with beautiful wooden doors, floors and wardrobes. The only downside was the fact that there were no curtains in the bedrooms to shield us from very bright moonlight in a clear sky and also we were not able to improve the air quality.
