This is our 3rd visit and our woofers loved it. The view from the cottage is simply stunning to say the least. We love Anglesey and will definitely be back. We visited the Ship Inn, we highly recommend the Dragons Pie and Pebbles in Benllech which was superb. Thank you.

  • "What a gem, and the view is outstanding!"

This was our first holiday with our dog, and feel grateful that the owners are prepared to let four legged friends come too. Just a few minutes walk to the most lovely beach, with a cafe and toilets. Lligwy beach cottage is more than well equipped with everything that you need for self catering, and a pleasant surprise to have comfy beds and sofas. Tesco deliver to the address too. A small issue with the washing machine but that was sorted within 24 hours. WiFi isn’t great, and the oven seemed to have a mind of its own, but apart from that no complaints. I’ve already looked to book again next year.

That's such a nice review and we are sorry there was an issue with the filter to the washing machine. we look forward to seeing you next time meantime we continue to improve Property Owner

Very beautifully furnished, feels like a boutique hotel without the staff! Only drawback for us was very worn old cooker. The oven temperature guide worn away , a few rings misbehaving. I took an airfryer which came in useful. Would stay again.

  • "As previous reviews."

...Wow!!!! We had a wonderful week in this lovely cottage with the most magnificent view of Lligwy beach and the coastline. The place is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with lots of cooking utensils etc provided and good quality appliances. We loved the window seat looking onto the beach below.... The garden was safe for our dog and he could run around freely, although it would be helpful if the gate at the side of the house (by the utility room) could be blocked in at the bottom as a very small dog could easily get through it.. Our only other comment would be the TV in the main room needs replacing as it's response is poor.... Not exactly a major issue!! We will be back... Thank you.

What a fab review many thanks for this & the suggestion over the gate to the rear. We installed a TV to the main bed this year and are scheduling a replacement for the lounge tying up with BT Fibre availability in the area. Property Owner

    !

We are delighted you found the cottage well equipped & enjoyed the beach location, we received you request to alter the heat settings and all beds were switched on to 21' timed on 7th October as requested, the lounge and kitchen under floors as well as bath floors were already set to timed 21 occupancy period & 19.5 night time. September was quite mild and we appreciate we should have switched on the bed heaters during your stay. We have had no complaints from other guests for the unit at these settings before or after your stay.. Property Owner

  • "This is the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in."

Its really very well presented with high quality fixtures and fittings and obviously well maintained. The position is fabulous and made for a perfect family holiday for 4 generations. It exceeded all our expectations. We were disappointed with the dishwasher but very happy with the way in which we were kept informed by the holiday company and their communication with the owners. We were pleased with the outcome and of course we understand these things happen. We would love to return.

I'm sorry we had an issue with the dishwasher since replaced. We appreciate your feedback and hope you come back again to enjoy the cottage or even one of the other 3 units at this part of the estate. Property Owner

It was a bit let down by the lack of maintenance - the fridge and oven probably need replacing and an odd job person with a snag list could do wonders for the place.

Fortunately we had a cancellation after your stay and we have been able to catch up on deep cleaning including some plumbing checks etc, we are also fitting a TV to the main bedroom & the fridge is being replaced however the oven has been tested and do not see this being an issue for now. • "This is our third visit with two more booked for this year so you can tell how much we love it at the cottage."

It was a lovely surprise to find the Christmas tree and garlands on our arrival, thank you. Also an even bigger surprise to find the sheep in the garden too. Quite a welcome! We noticed a musty smell in the bedroom with the stable door and felt the towel rails could be programmed to be on longer as the towels had no time to dry. Our guest remarked that some shelving in their bathroom would be helpful too, also in both shower cubicles. The hairdryer, iron and binoculars seemed to have disappeared too. We are keeping everything crossed for a solution to the missing parasol. Obviously didn’t need it at Christmas but hoping that the sun shines in May and September on our next visits as we will certainly need some form of shading then. The beautiful parasol on our first visit was ideal and it’s sad it was ruined by others thoughtlessness. Having said all this we can’t wait for our next visit.

It's great to have good feedback and critical as well, shelving for the end twin will be provided...all parasols are in store currently. We have carried out some upgrades prior to your stay with the ability now to control the upgraded electrical panel heating remotely. We have extended the run time on the Towel Rads and although we found the Iron with the board in the hall cupboard a replacement hairdryer has been provided, obviously one taken by mistake. We will provide larger binoculars to replace the one taken....we are delighted you are returning again. Do also note Penrhyn Farm and Barn up the road if you fancied a change of scene next year. The good news is we have replaced the sofas as this was already planed. I am sorry the issue relating to the end twin heater was not reported to me, we could have addressed this had you contacted us. At this time of year with intermittent cold & warm days the stats are set to 20 and for your period of stay all baths towel rads and underfloor heating was on and set to programed and even so Kitchen / lounge ranged between 20.1-22. All bedrooms have elec panel heaters which are set to programmed times and if requested we can run through with you how to unlock them however we were not called about this so we are sorry you found it not to standard, it will be addressed. Excellent cooking equipment. Easy access to beach. The following comments are by no means complaints just suggestions for an even better stay: Could do with outside parasol for hot days. We thought the wifi was terrible , my husband had to complete some work and the Internet was incredibly poor and it proved impossible. There is a smart TV but you cannot watch it as the WiFi keeps failing. We thought there was brilliant cooking equipment. We only had one small towel each in the main bedroom but our guests got a hand towel too . I would have loved a few more towels and tea towels. No cleaning spray was left so we had to buy some. When it got colder we couldn't turn on any heating, it was all locked so we couldn't get a dry towel which is annoying when you spend £3000.

We are so sorry you were left short of towels, had you called the housekeeper or agent the issue would have been resolved. All heating systems are left on programmed and the week you were there was quite hot however if requested we could have helped with this. The broadband speed is stated as <10MBS on the web page, we are sorry about this but there is no current Openreach plan to improve fibre for this property despite numerous requests. Property Owner

  • "Having lost virtually a day of our holiday for a supposed deep clean due to the Covid pandemic we were disgusted when we arrived to find how unclean the premises were."

The splashback behind the cooker was covered in grease, all the more noticeable because someone had wiped it once and just moved the grease on it (this was possibly of course the previous occupants). Glass containers on shelves above the cooker were absolutely covered in grease and clearly had not been cleaned for some considerable time. There was a stale bread roll in the container marked ‘bread’. Dirty bed linen was found in the container for soiled clothes in the bathroom and possibly the worse indictment of your ‘cleaning’ team was when I accidently dropped my spectacles under the bed and on retrieving them found them absolutely covered in dust. Clearly no attempt to clean under the beds had taken place for some considerable time. Another bone of contention was that the rotary airer on the outside wall had not been replaced although notification of this being broken and inoperable was reported by a previous guest over two months ago.

HTe location was amazing and the house was very comfortable and well equipped. The only thing that let it down for me a little was that despite the fact that we were not permitted to check in until 5pm, the house had not been deep cleaned. It had a very good general clean, but there were surfaces that had clearly not been dusted e.g. vases and the shelves and not been cleaned as there was dust and insects etc that could be seen. There were also cobwebs on the bathroom walls (on the wooden slats). Having all day for cleaning, I would expect that this would be kept on top of.

The bathrooms are lovely with great showers and loads of hot water for the bath. The location feels private and was certainly very peaceful. The TV and SONOS music system were nice to have and worked well, although the internet connection is pretty hit and miss, so numerous interruptions to streaming (can be viewed as a bonus if you're trying to get away from emails, social media etc...not a bad idea on holiday!). We had a slight issue with the wood burning stove due to cold weather and back-draught, but the response when we requested help to resolve was excellent. • "We had a wonderful holiday at Lligwy beach cottage , we loved the New England style decor and whilst the cottage was spacious it was also cosy and comfortable."

The nearness of the beach and the coastal path meant we had great walking options on our doorstep as well as the rest of the island to explore. A really lovely week , we have now stayed in cottages booked through Menai holidays on three occasions and have always been delighted with the cottages and all the service provided by the company .

  • "This is a stylish and comfortable property in an excellent position."

The niggles are relatively small but I noted that some had been flagged up previously such as poor hanging space and not enough hangers. I found that the floor could have been cleaner; one bin still had rubbish in it; the log burner was a little difficult to control and the logs provided didn't burn as well as the pine logs I bought whilst there. (I have a log burner at home so I know how to handle them)

  • "This cottage is stunning."

The size of the accommodation and style of the decor suited us perfectly as did the garden. We had a 10 months crawling baby as part of our party and the level garden and rooms made life easier for us to supervise him. We had a small dog with us who was secure in the garden. The facilities in the house were very good, we settled in and felt at home straight away. We all enjoyed it so much we didn't want to leave and would love to stay there again. We were lucky enough to have hot sunny weather everyday and the only thing we felt the need of was a patio sun parasol. We had brought a small one with us but it was not big enough to provide protection over the table. I really don't want to complain in any way as we had such a great holiday, but we did find a pair of men's boxers under one of the beds and felt that the cottage would have benefited from a more thorough hoovering in general. It didn't take us long to have a Hoover round ourselves. We love Lligwy area, it's so unspoilt and we hardly used our cars as we walked to a lot of places such as Moelfre, Traeth Buchan and Dulas and Lligwy beach and cafe. Thank you very much for a memorable holiday.

  • "The cottage was fantastic well equipped and beautifully decorated, it was a massive shame that it was not cleaned!"

The floors had not been cleaned and the bathrooms were not clean. It really let the place down as I couldn’t fault anything else. The location is amazing and the views were incredible.

  • "Lovely cottage."

Only niggle was the zip link super king bed could have done with a bigger duvet. Towels were a bit on the small side too. Needs more crockery as had to use the dishwasher after every meal.
