  • "Lovely holiday home and perfect place to explore the island."

Just a problem with upstairs shower but I’m sure it has been sorted now.

  • "The accommodation was not clean at all!"

The house is decorated to a lovely standard, but was let down by the uncleanliness. Windowsills had not been wiped in a long time, with dead insects all over, dust on fireplace, sweets under the rug, cobwebs and spilt drinks behind the sofa, as well as at the front of it. Rug was also dirty, as well as hairs in the upstairs bathroom in the shower and from the shower head . Not ours as they were dark. With people having to vacate for 10am and not allowed in until 4pm, I would have expected a deep clean. Nowhere to walk the dog, which should be mentioned in the description to inform people renting. No toaster, which would be a benefit to the house. However, there were amenities close by, and if the cleanliness could be sorted with the contracted cleaners, it would be amazing!

  • "Overall a comfortable stay."

Weather was a bonus- better than abroad! Close to great beaches and amenities. Plenty of room. Property could do with a freshen up in comparison to other sykes we have been to- (kitchen mainly) but it wouldn't stop us returning as we only use as a base for exploring. Sorry no pen to write in your guest book Thanks Sam

  • "The property was as described."

It was great for us and met all our needs we were a party of 6 adults, 2 toddlers an infant and a dog, we had plenty of room. There were four large bedrooms two on the ground floor and two on the upper floor both serviced with a bathroom on the ground floor and shower room on the upper floor. The livingroom comfortably hosted everyone as did the dining area. The property was clean - this is a rural property it is beside a main road but securely shuts off. Facilities wise we had everything we needed and didn’t ever think it could be doing with anything. Decor wise the rooms are all nice colours but some do need a bit of a freshen up. Location wise it is excellent for touring round Angelsey. The beach at Trearddur Bay is probably closest and has all the amenities you need. There are shops and petrol stations nearby. Holyhead has major grocery shops. We travelled from here to the Zip Line at Bethesda this was our reason for coming and it was a thrilling experience. We were only here for three days but would have happily stayed longer. Would recommend.

  • "Lovely house for a base to explore Anglesey from, visited some brilliant places, only place we were not impressed with was the town centre of Holyhead, it was very rundown."

Very comfortable stay. Only feedback I can give is the seating in the sitting room is a bit big & hard to move around if you want to sit around the tv of an evening. Gutters overdue a clean, water coming over edge due to a blockage. Fun bit watching the blackbirds when they were digging in them though, leaves flying out everywhere.

Thank you for your feedback and we are glad you enjoyed your holiday. Gutters been cleaned Property Owner

  • "Had this been maintained, it would have been a practical and comfortable holiday home."

Sadly, we arrived to overflowing gutters, no heating or hot water, door handles falling off, bedding with pet pawprints-not ours, our dogs being considerably larger! A welcome tray was in the freezing kitchen-surely the housekeeper would have checked the heating?! A plumber attended but was unable to address the heating/water problem. We had to stay overnight before being relocated-freezing!-bearing in mind we had a 2-year old, a pregnant lady, and 2 OAP's in the party, this was not ideal! Had we been prepared for such conditions we would have taken camping gear! Fortunately, the property we were relocated to enveloped us in a hug. Clean, comfortable, warm, and cared for.

  • "Room not a very good shape for 100% comfort due to positioning of TV."

Facilities Good for x2 people 4 at a push as kitchen space at a minimum for more people. Bed fooms and facilities there over all were good and clean. Space for dogs limited as the enclosed garden was small. The large frount was exceptional but had a disadvantage of being o close to a fast moving road which I was unaware of. Cottage didd give you a cozey feeling. Service from neighbour exceptional when I lost the door key ( subsequently found).respectively priced for time of year and house type.

  • "We enjoyed our stay, two families with teenage adults."

The property provided good accommodation and we liked how one family was downstairs in two rooms and the other upstairs in two rooms. Each family also having their own bathroom. Good location, close to Valley and access to the A55 to travel in either direction exploring Anglesey. We spent most of the day away from the property at beaches, returning in the evening after eating out. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The dining room table seats 8 adults but it is tight to get round to sit close to walls. There are plenty of mugs, plates, cutlery etc. There is a front and rear garden. The front garden gets the sun but there are only three seats and a very small table. The road traffic can sometimes be heard inside the property but I would not say this was a problem. Traffic very light in evenings. Good sized lounge with nice leather settees. We struggled to manoeuvre our vehicles in the drive to exit through the small entrance due to the walls which restrict turning room. This was a BMW X7 and Ford Ranger. Overall we liked the property and would stay again. MINOR things which should be considered to improve customer experience. ( not to be published just for owner who has a business to run) 1. Some of the frying pans are no longer fit for use and need replacing. 2. The oven had food stuck on the metal shelf’s inside main oven. 3. The shower screen in bottom bathroom is inadequate and water goes on floor easily. 4. The screen in upstairs has a loose piece of wood at side. This is fiddly, 5. Lino floor in kitchen could do with replacing. 6. Rinse aid and salt for dishwasher. 7. Tv sky signal was very poor and kept indicating there was an issue. 8. The skylight windows upstairs are really dirty and need cleaning!

  • "A nicely maintained property of good proportions."

Clean as a whistle upon arrival! Just a couple of minor points. The electric shower upstairs was more of a drip than a shower! The veluxes were pretty dirty, guess this is due to the close proximity of the trees! Wouldn't stop us from booking again though.

  • "Property was clean and comfortable."

We liked the house overall - we needed to move the lounge furniture round to accommodate 7 people in the evenings and Unfortunately we had an issue with flying beetles (pea sized) coming in through an open bedroom window on the first evening, 60+ that took over an hour to catch - on the bed, in the bed, under and behind the bed. It meant we didn’t sleep well on the first night and we couldn’t have the windows open during the night for the rest of the stay which meant the temperature was uncomfortable for sleeping, one of our kids refused to sleep upstairs during the stay because of this. The downstairs bathroom needs a rubber shower mat as it was slippy for the oldies that were with us.

A corkscrew, a timer, more information on the appliances and how to work them, a sharp plain knife, maybe a clock either in the kitchen or lounge. On the plus side the sleeping accommodation was great, it was lovely and warm and the Christmas decorations were excellent.

Thank you so much for your feedback, we will take your suggestions into account. We will look forward to maybe seeing you again. Regards Janine Property Owner

Grass not cut making poo search very difficult. "What3words" useful - or would have been if they had directed to the correct property!! Gates now fitted and working efficiently. That said a good cottage, well located and all three generations enjoyed our visit to Anglesey, especially South Stack RSPB, Rhosneigr and Amlwych Port.

  • "It was the perfect size for our family, well equipped and beautifully clean."

Convenient to access different beaches and walks. The cottage was on a busy road so gates would have been useful when getting small children and dogs in and out of the car. We would recommend the cottage to anyone and would consider using again.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are going to be putting gates up in the near future as a few people have mentioned this. Property Owner

The house was spotless on arrival and contained everything we needed. The location is fantastic for exploring the nearby beaches and the rest of the island. It's just a shame the back garden is shaded as it would've been nice to sit out in the sun. We also would've appreciated blackout blinds on the rooflights upstairs!
