  • "Very nice welcoming property with room for a large group/family."

Disappointing about the bottom oven not working but didn’t impact our stay massively. Overall a nice and well-looked after property.

  • "Property smelt of damp."

Needs some deceration repairs and maintance. Could not get bottom cooker to work. Light bulb blown on stairs.could do with a toilet on top floor. Information pack por, no welcome pack. So we're not fully aware of what to do with rubbish, no linen bags left for laundry. Had an issue on last day, called Michelle to explain and she was very understanding.

It was great for me and my family to stay in this accommodation and I can 100% recommend it to other people to use it as a holiday home. Thank you for your great service.

  • "House not looked after, dirty cupboards, cups, shower screens, dust on surfaces, marks and leaves on carpets."

Not heated so smelt damp for a couple of days.Top of dishwasher broken, several light bulbs blown, remotes not working as batteries including the spares were dud. Also found someone elses washing in the washing machine. Pity as house was nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable. Photos taken due to the £500 bond. Not Sykes usual standard.

  • "Lyngaran house was a perfect size and location for our family of 10."

The house was clean, tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. We found that the downstairs shower was so hot that we couldn’t use it. The washer was next to the shower room and even that was hot when the clothes had been put on a 30 degree wash.. so obviously something wrong with that thermostat downstairs. So the 10 of us had to use the upstairs shower, which at times was like a “drive through” and it started overflowing by the end of the week. The house was clean but some of the decor needed sorting, ie looked like damp had come through or a leak in a couple of the ceilings. There was also spiders and cobwebs in the corners of the skirting boards and ceilings in most of the rooms. But I suppose there’s only so much cleaning you can do on turnaround day. The kitchen is good size, lots of crockery and everything you need. We used the bbq and spent a lot of time in the big garden. Would recommend to others but make them aware of the things I’ve mentioned. Just needs a bit of maintenance and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

  • "Absolutely filthy broken stuff kettle needs de-scaling and dishes have rust and mould on them as haven't been washed and put away properly."

Uncleaned floors oven absolutely filthy broken curtains stained furniture and disgusting and filthy dining room chairs . Broken toilet seats and shower left unclean in downstairs bathroom. When I called the manager after the 3rd attempt she answered to advise the owners of the property don't pay her to manage the property so she doesn't over see it any more. I have pictures and have escalated to Sykes and they seem to be quite about it too. However today iv noticed I have been charges £40 when all we have done is clean the property. I have taken copies of previous feedback left in the visitors book and every one has the same feed back. There is mould on the walls and spiders and cobweb galore all over the house. On a plus side the beds were the only positive side comfy so if your not into cleanliness and are not going to eat in the property you will be fine. Overall lovely big house if it got the care and cleaning it requires it would be excellent. Definitely not up to Sykes standards.

  • "We had a fantastic week there with our family."

Everything was clean, comfortable and you had thought of everything that we could have needed. Our only suggestion would be to turn the double bed on the first floor maybe to twin beds. As with being such a big house it will be families that rent it and it is easier for children to have their own beds rather than share! We would highly recommend it to anyone and it is in a nice quiet location. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "Loved the location, on the outskirts of Holyhead, so quiet."

The bedrooms were very comfortable after such busy days touring the Island. Angelsey is a wonderful place to visit lots of beautiful bays and quaint villages. It’s my second holiday with Sykes and I’ve already booked a third.

It was stunning and so comfortable. The instructions and welcome we received on entering were easy to follow. The furniture and decoration were lovely and the beds were the comfiest we had ever slept on. This was the first time booking via Sykes and it won't be the last. Thank you for the lovely accommodation which made our holiday one of the best ever!

About the location

HOLYHEAD

Trearddur Bay 3 miles.

The bustling town of Holyhead rests on the North West coast of the Isle of Anglesey, the largest town on the island and perhaps known best for being the main ferry port to Ireland. Steeped in history, the town boasts the remains of Roman town walls and forts, medieval burial chambers and stone village foundations. Explore the Breakwater Country Park, a former quarry, which offers designated walks through the grounds. The park is full of interesting wildlife, most notably the seals who visit the Holyhead coast, and outlines the amazing construction of the world's longest breakwater, some 1.8 miles, which today protects the harbour. Visit the colourful marina with its yachts and tall ships, or the town's maritime museum, with its tales of 100 shipwrecks in the vicinity. Day trips to Ireland can be enjoyed easily from here, with Dublin just 90 minutes away on the fast ferry. With spectacular cliff top walks over Holyhead Mountain, golden sandy beaches at the award winning Trearddur Bay and the Snowdonia National Park just a 20 minute drive away, this is a superb holiday location, at any time of the year.
