On our last day I stripped the bed and found the mattress was badly stained. Don’t know why it didn’t have a mattress protecter on it. It certainly wasn’t us that stained the mattress. Fridge door had to be pushed hard to shut. The welcome pack was a nice thought.

  • "Property listed as "beach pad" Upon arrival slight confusion with the property name being the "Bay view" this was only a minor problem."

There were even little things. Like tea, coffee and sugar, a few dishwasher tablets, hand soap. Games and things for children. It was clean, bright and spacious. The welcome gifts were such a lovely thought, There were a few little things like blind in smaller bedroom not working, dripping tap in kitchen, car park space just not really big enough, fridge door wouldn't close properly. However none of these things affected our holiday. It really is a fantastic holiday home.

The Beach Pad is spacious and light and a very pleasant place to spend time when the weather was not at it's best. Particularly liked the plants and pictures which made it more like home. Would have liked a cafetiere in the apartment - a good mug of coffee being a necessity on a morning :) Hope to return, we love this area of Anglesey & our 8 year old grandson loved the beach & the apartment.

The apartment needs a refresh with some of the paintwork and it needs extra storage as there is nowhere to store your shopping , it was chilly in the bedrooms but boiling in the living room.Nice place to stay to explore the surrounding areas.

Kitchen was very well equipped with high quality appliances and the owner supplied all the little things you need. Bedrooms had very comfy beds and huge fluffy towels. Felt very safe with gated entrance & coded outside door in this small set of apartments. So much to see in Anglesey, the beaches and walks are amazing on top of historical places to visit and so many lovely pubs and restaurants. We had one minor problem and the owner and company were super efficient, couldn’t of asked for better service. We will return!

  • "Hi, very good apartment."

Sadly the previous comments that we read were correct. There were quite a few maintenance issues that hadn’t been addressed. My husband fixed the fridge door, so it could close! Tightened the kitchen sink drain to stop it leaking! Tightened the en suite door to prevent it becoming dangerous! Sadly we were unable to fix the bed to stop it creaking as it was actually broken! I do wish owners would stay in their own holiday lets to see what is amiss. Having said that we were happy overall with the apartment, it was clean & plenty of room for 2 people. The welcome gifts were lovely.

  • "Lovely location, roomy, good views – and yes, the parking will be an issue if you have more than a hatchback."

Earlier comments were confirmed as resolved by Sykes, and great at first sight. Then we found repeat and new issues. Comments in the guest book, basically match those online. In our view to summarise, a lovely place that has lacked proper management over the last couple of years. Professional clean and d.i.y. type maintenance needed. We have emailed Sykes. ‘Luxury apartment’ per Sykes - mind the hoover stored at the end of one bed! Bring your own cafetiere, salt and pepper

Thank you for your feedback Menai holidays have carried out a full inspection of the property and found it to be of a high standard with no maintenance or DIY issues needing to be addressed. The property is self catering so condiments are not supplied but we do have a Cafetiere. Unfortunately, we cannot alter the size of the parking slots. Property Owner

  • "A brilliant apartment, probably one of the best we have stayed in."

Love the location. We were lucky with the weather, the tide was high every day and it was quite windy. Parking was busy everywhere due to it being Bank Holiday. Our only problem with Bay View is 12A parking space. As has been mentioned before, we had great difficulty in getting our long car in and out. We were blocked in one day and couldn't go out, however we started to use one of the visitor spaces and that was fine. Light bulbs gone in bedside lights, extractor fan very strange- it seems to blow rather than extract food fumes, the plug hole in the bathroom won't close properly so it lets water out. Sorry to seem negative but really the apartment is super. Thank you!

Thank you fort your feedback, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for bringing the small issues to our attention, our maintenance team work to keep the property to a high standard and these have now been rectified. I'm glad that you managed to find alternative parking arrangements and were able to enjoy the location. Property Owner

  • "Really lovely apartment block."

The apartments are in a great location. Just a short walk away from the beach. We had booked for a family of four, but there were only 3 cups and saucers and only 3 mugs. The worktop saver has only one foot at the bottom, so it is tricky to use when serving and preparing food. I would definitely have packed my own pillow and mattress protectors had I known that they were not provided. The drawers were broken in the twin room, as was the blind. When we experienced the problem with the door code (which did not allow entry to the apartment block) we needed to make several telephone calls ourselves to liaise with maintenance company. This wasn't ideal, as we had made plans for the day, but we were unable to leave the apartment. We did receive a message to say that someone would be able to look at the door, but that it wouldn't be until the following day. This is not helpful when you are on holiday. It was actually very stressful.

Needs more glasses and cups and the pots and pans need replacing, some not fit for use do not so good if you like to prepare food from fresh. A summer weight duvet would have been appreciated. It took time to get used to all of the entry codes. Loved Anglesey despite the weather, perfect if you enjoy walking, being in nature and peace and quiet. Everyone was very friendly.

  • "We have really enjoyed our week at The Beach Pad and chose it for the lift, two bedrooms and en suite shower and separate bathroom."

The open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area worked very well for us, and the fantastic 'bay view' has been appreciated. However, the twin room was not adequate for adults with only the small window for ventilation and daylight, and nowhere to hang clothes. The parking is very difficult for a medium sized car if spaces 12 and 14 are occupied. The lovely sunshine each day has enabled us to see the island at its best, and even though we have been twice before, have never seen the bays so spectacular and beautiful. Thank you for the lovely flowers and edibles. Much enjoyed.

Thank you for your review and the useful feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "The apartment itself is well laid out and was spotlessly clean."

A generous welcome pack was waiting for us, including wine, fresh milk, Welsh treats and lovely fresh flowers. Our only gripe was the awkward parking space. Because of this I’ve rated the accuracy of the listing as 4/5. If the adjoining space and the one in front are occupied it’s tricky to park. We have a large, long estate car which made reversing in the best option but very difficult. But that leaves little room for the driver to get out because of the wall. I think it should be mentioned on the website, especially if the driver needs plenty of room to access/exit the vehicle. If the listing was amended to show this we would definitely recommend this property.
