Description

This stylish semi-detached cottage is located in North Ballachulish on the northern shore of Loch Leven, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and intriguing history.

Holly Cottage is presented to a very high standard and the smart contemporary interior will be appreciated by guests.

This cottage would be ideal for a family group or group of friends who want to explore the heart of Scotland together!

There are three comfortable bedrooms, one benefiting from en-suite facilities and the open plan living space with its woodburning stove is cosy and welcoming.

The French doors from the living area open out onto a front patio which is an ideal spot from which to appreciate both the stunning loch and mountain views and perhaps enjoy a pre-dinner glass of wine.

The nearby hotel is a short walk away should you simply want a relaxing meal out and the chance to meet some locals.

From this cottage visitors can access some of the most popular areas that Scotland has to offer.

Just a short drive away is atmospheric Glencoe where the famous massacre of 1692 saw the Clan MacDonald of Glencoe annihilated!

Alternatively, take a drive westwards along the famous road to the Isles and visit Glenfinnan where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard to rally the clans and where you'll find the Glenfinnan viaduct, memorably captured in the Harry Potter films.

It all happened in this very area!

Less than an hour away is the coastal town of Oban and from here visitors can visit some of the pretty islands of the west coast such as Mull, Tiree and Uist.

For shopping trips, nearby Fort William has everything and more along with Ben Nevis!

A simply welcoming cottage in a fabulous vibrant location to suit everyone.Note: The charging of electric cars is not permissible at the property

The Holly Cottage is very nicely situated, and provides a cozy home for holiday guests.

The service is good, the facilities and maintenance is good, though not perfect. It is a very nice starting point for trips and hikes in the West Coast area with the highest mountains od Scotland. And it can be rainy, of course...

Overall a nice comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage.

In a great location to explore the breathtakingly beauty of the Highlands. The only thing we were disappointed with was there was DVD player listed in the cottage so we packed a few of our favourite ones hoping to have time to watch them, sadly the dvd player wasn't working. Perhaps this is because a lot of people use streaming services nowadays and it's no longer used. I would recommend the cottage to others.

Holly Cottage is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area - 15 minutes to Fort William in one direction and just minutes from Glencoe in the other.

It has a lovely view of beautiful rhodedendrons in full bloom, the Ballachullish bridge, and has walks and a pebble beach and a hotel within a few minutes walk as well as other places to eat within a short drive. Having stayed at Holly Cottage last year, it did not disappoint, and we found different areas to explore. The cottage itself is very cosy, comfortable, clean and very relaxing. It had everything we needed. A welcome pack of cake and shortbread was very much appreciated after a long drive. A lovely cottage and we hope to be back next year.
