  • "Clean, well equipped single storey cottage."

Photos do not do it justice. Keith was a great host, greeting us in arrival and had left bread, milk and shortcake biscuits as a welcome pack. Everything you need in the nearby village, pubs, restaurants, butchers, bakery and convenience store, local garage blew our tyre up for us. Secure garden to allow our dog to roam safely under a watchful eye. Comfortable seating, lovely big bed but not much room at either side, as a larger guy I had to proceed carefully getting in and out of bed.

Comfortable and cosy, with everything you could possibly need. A wonderful welcome pack for us and our small dog. We are new to this type of holiday, having been motorhomers for many years. This is our 4th experience of holiday lets and the very best so far. We have not done South West Scotland very much in the past, we used to mostly tour the highlands and islands in our motorhome, but the Dumfries and Galloway area is beautiful. Highly recommend the Chinese takeaway and the fish and chip shop in Thornhill. I wish we lived nearer to Troloss, we would be there more often, but it's a bit of a trek from South Cheshire! Keith is a lovely friendly and informative man. Highly recommend Troloss Lodge. Enid and David.
