"Perfect property for visiting Chester and surrounding areas."
Short walk to the city but there are open areas, cafes and shops close by too and the river. Exceptional views over the river. We were fortunate to see the sunrise and a spectacular sunset. Very warm welcome by host. Would definitely return when visiting family.

"A pleasant place to stay in easy walking distance from the centre."

"Very nice stay in a perfect location."
-
"Needs lots of TLC and a new boiler."
Do not recommend this property. Best feature is the view and walking distance to the city.

"We are a family with a 3 year old and a baby and stayed for almost 2 weeks for visiting family who lives nearby."
The apartment was just so cosy and the people very welcoming. The place on top of a little hill overlooking a park area, the river and the old town was so nice to watch and the playground at the bottom of the hill perfect for our mornings. Thanks very much for having us, Howard!

"Superb location just outside the walls right on the river."
Local shops ,garage butchers and pubs two minute walk away.Quiet area ,friendly helpful welcoming owner ,well looked after property and comfortable two bedroom apartment with spacious kitchen and comfortable lounge. The flat was very warm during a cold winter week, and the owner had heated the flat prior to arrival. It had been snowing .In summer there is a well designed lovely garden to sit out on ! Lovely experience.

"Great location and being able to leave car safely there ."
Warm welcome with helpful information eg pub to eat at. Great views and peaceful environment, although less suitable for people with mobility issues due to the steps to access the property which would be safer with some lighting. Overall very good . Thank you.

"Nous avons passé un très bon moment dans cet appartement."
Idéalement situé pour accéder au centre de Chester en toute simplicité, mais également la place de parking privative permettant de vaquer à nos occupations. La vue est magique. Nous avons eu la chance d’en profiter sous le soleil. L’appartement est très propre et la literie de très bonne qualité. Belle décoration avec beaucoup de beaux espaces de vie, cuisine et salon spacieux.très bon rapport qualité prix.

"Excellent location plus it has a view of the river from window and garden."
15 minute walk to very centre of Chester. Will not suit anyone who has difficulty with steps and stairs.

"The apartment was in a great location not far from the old city walls, with excellent views across the river and park."
It was an ideal base for exploring the city.
-
"Perfect location, It would seem that the cleaners are not performing to the standard that both clients and the owners would expect I."
E although clean, marks on bed linen and towels were evident.
-
"Very friendly and helpful."
Clean and comfortable, with everything you need including a hair dryer.

"We had a great week in Chester staying at Riverview."
The flat is great- the location and views are brilliant, and local pub, shops and park were a real bonus. Chester is a lovely place to stay, with plenty to do locally, but also great for visiting other places. We went to Liverpool for the day and it couldn't have been easier on the train, and of course visited the zoo, which is also a great day out. The accommodation was clean and nicely decorated with most things we needed. We were very comfortable and would recommend it for couples or young families like us. Host was also so welcoming and helpful. We had a great time!

"I stayed in the property for four weeks in September through into October."
Howard met me as arranged and quickly got me settled in. The flat has lovely views over the river and a nice park at the side of it. It was quiet at night and had three very good pubs, a petrol station, a butchers and small co-op all within a three minute walk. Also close by were a chemist and other specialist shops. The real selling point for the flat is that it is a short walk through the park and over the bridge into the very centre of Chester. Five minutes max and you are in the main shopping and tourist areas. I will definitely be looking to book this accommodation again.

The apartment was perfect for our stay and the parking meant we could walk into the City with ease. We will return and will be recommending the apartment to family and friends.
Thank you for your kind remarks. We look forward to seeing you again soon Howard and Gill Property Owner

About the location
CHESTER
Liverpool 17 miles; Manchester 36 miles.
Chester has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city has much to offer the tourist, including excellent shopping in and around the famous Tudor 'Rows' and lovely walks along the Roman Walls, beside the River Dee and through the picturesque Grosvenor Park. Explore Chester's beautiful medieval cathedral, visit Chester Racecourse or spend a day at the world renowned Chester Zoo. Further afield, the stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral Peninsula with its first class golf courses, are all within easy touring distance, whilst frequent rail services make Liverpool, Manchester and the North Wales coast readily accessible.
