The cottage was amazing and in a great area and the owner was brilliant. Would definitely recommend staying here

"No hot water"
Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you felt there was an issue with hot water, but it has been checked and is working correctly. There is an immersion heater switch that needs to be turned on to get the hot water working. All instructions are in the welcome pack of the property. If you had called Sykes Cottages, we could have helped you get the hot water working and provided a more comfortable stay. Property Owner

"Lovely little cottage, very difficult to walk your dog because the roads around ..."
Lovely little cottage, very difficult to walk your dog because the roads around were very busy and I think you would definitely need to have a car to get anywhere that was safe enough to do so
Sorry that your dog walking experience was not good. Sadly, there was a serious traffic accident nearby that day which meant cars had to be diverted. Usually, Polyphant is a beautiful, peaceful little village; perfect for your four legged friends (and humans alike!) Property Owner

"A lovely little cottage in a beautiful village located conveniently close to the A30."
This was our second stay here and we’re very likely to return.
-
"We loved our time in Hele Stone cottage."
It was a lovely cottage and the dog treats, bowl and towel were a nice touch. We hope to come back again soon
-
"Nice Cottage, needs new kitchen."
The cottage smells of damp, and the blinds on the front doors needs to be replaced. Water temperature is not hot enough, when having a shower or bath. I would stay again as perfect location for work.
-
"Absolutely beautiful stay, cottage was lovley x everything you needed x so dog friendly to."
...would definitely recommend and stay again...thankyou
-
"Nice, well kept property."
Nearest pub was 3.2 miles away - would have been useful to know that. The Rising Sun - very nice pub, food was excellent with friendly and welcoming staff - more should be made of this! The small village shop opening hours were 11.00 to 4.00pm - again would have been useful to know this - friendly staff.

"We had the most fantastic time, the cottage was a pure delight plus it was a 2minute walk from our daughters house."
I would recommend this cottage very highly.
-
"The cottage is lovely, very clean and well stocked with everything you’d need including dog bowls, towels and biscuits."
The village is delightful and the residents very friendly. It’s situated very close to family for us which is why we’ve been there twice now and will return. In Cornwall you are never far from a beach but there’s plenty of other attractions as well.

"The perfect getaway for a peaceful new year."
A beautiful cottage with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Some nice touches like the welcome tea, coffee and biscuits but also some dog treats. The cottage was very welcoming and the bed was super comfortable. Lovely to have all the little things thought about like cling film, foil, bin bags and even a torch so taking the dog out after dark was helpful. This was very last minute booking but the owner was very accommodating and called to let us know the cottage was ready. Will book again in the future.

"The cottage was lovely, very cosy and clean and supplied everything you could want for your stay."
It was dog friendly and the welcome biscuits were a lovely surprise. The village itself was very typically Cornish with many lovely homes but with several new buildings and with easy access to the A30 and the many beaches of other attractions, I’m sure we will return.

"Lovely little cottage for a couples break, well stocked kitchen utensils and well placed for getting to other areas, loved it, thanks."
-
"Well equipped, clean and comfortable cottage to return to after exploring Cornwall."
Coffee in the secluded garden yo start the day was perfect. Washing machine a real bonus for convenience, especially with the dog. Close to lots of Cornish attractions, set in a lovely village. Shop just a stroll away with basic provisions. Loved every minute ❤

"Had a lovely 3 night stay and this little cottage."
The pictures don't do justice as it's a wonderful cottage and lovely location, being just 1 mile from the A30 giving easy access to all of Cornwall. We took our dog with us and upon arrival it was lovely not just seeing biscuits for us humans but also the dog. Poo bags and water and feed bowls were provided on a nice rubber mat for our four legged friend. Having a washer/dryer was a lovely addition and being provided with 3 wash tabs was a nice touch which we appreciated. The bed & sofa was nice and comfy giving us a good sleep and somewhere to relax in the evening. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

"Cosy, especially during storm Eunice."
Appreciated log burner when power out.

"Lovely, cosy, traditional cottage let down only by a rattly microwave, a slightly grubby cutlery tray and black tile mound in bathroom."
Otherwise exactly what we hoped for. Also some very thoughtful touches including dog ball and biscuits. We had a very restful break and happily recommend the cottage.
Thank you for your feedback. The microwave has been replaced and the bathroom has been fully resealed. We are glad you and your dog enjoyed the break. Property Owner

"Nice clean comfortable cottage, only qualm was the sofa was very soft and the DVD player made a lot of ‘racket’ when playing a dvd."
Thank you for your feedback, we now have a new comfortable sofa along with a new TV and separate DVD player. Property Owner

"Lovely cottage In a quiet Hamlet."
Lovely walks but a car is needed if you wish to eat out in the evenings. Everything provided even some washing tablets for the washing machine! A real home from home in a peaceful spot ideal for exploring North Cornwall and beyond. Myself and my terrier thoroughly enjoyed our hideaway .
