  • "I have rated this property 5 stars due to the very well equipped and beautifully decorated amenities as well as the large space for 2 people."

it is also well situated for beaches and Newquay. Just a few points - only half a toilet roll provided, only one bin bag and no compostable liners for the food bucket, no washing up bowl or plug in the sink (we didn't generate enough for the dishwasher). However we would definitely stay here again as it is probably the nicest accommodation I have ever stayed in.

Thank you so much for your feed back. My house keeper sends her apologies but she had planned to retune with replacement items but had a family emergency and it went out of her mind. Please be assured that she is there at the end of the phone 24/7 to help with any issue to make your stay as comfortable as possible. If you do choose to stay again in the future please let her know in advance of your stay. Best regards Cathy. Owner. Property Owner

  • "Great property, modern and well kept."

Great location, close to the beach and a short drive into town. Peaceful location, apartment is super cosy and all instructions are very clear. To take it from a 9.5 to a 10, salt & pepper, foil, hand wash, sponge/cloth to wipe kitchen surfaces, apart from these minor things we had a great stay! Would recommend :)

  • "Lovely apartment, basically well equipped and in a good location, would have been perfect but for a couple of things: 1) No washing up liquid, kitchen roll, sugar, salt & pepper or teabags, things we expect to find in a property at this price level, though there was a new washing up sponge!"

    2) Noisy upstairs neighbours. We returned at 7:30 one evening to find a dog barking in the apartment above, it continued to bark almost continuously until half past midnight when the owners returned. We came extremely close to phoning the RSPCA! There was a cream tea in the fridge but sadly scones and strawberry jam from Asda.

Dear guests. Thank you for your feed back. I have spoken to my neighbours who had friends staying with a pet for a few nights and apologised for the disturbance and were devastated to hear about the stress caused to yourself and their dog. We do supply a welcome pack and having spoken to my Property Manager she assures me that fresh tea bags and sugar were left it the jars on the shelf above the kettle. But if a may take this opportunity to remind all guests that my property manager Heidi and Sykes cottages are there to help provide a pleasant memorable stay so please please contact them immediately with any issues you may have, large or small and they will do their best to help. Should you wish to stay again sometime in the future please contact me in advance via Skyes cottages. Best regards Cathy. Property Owner

  • "The property itself was excellent, well situated clean and comfortable."

The welcome scones, cream and jam were nicely consumed. Our only issues were the lack of cleaning products for the kitchen and bathroom. Toilet brush in bathroom filthy. Some pots were not clean, it looked like someone had used the dishwasher with no tablet. We were surprised no dishwasher tablets were provided, we brought out own. I filled the rinse aid and salt it looked like it hadn't been filled for a while. We decided to eat in one evening but couldn't light the hob because the lighter had run out of gas. These are only little things that were merely an annoyance, but should be checked before someone comes in. However, it didn't spoil a fab week in your apartment and in Cornwall.

Thank you for your feed back. I can assure you this is not the hight standards of cleanliness and attention to detail that my cleaning company normally provide and that I, the owner, would expect. I sincerely apologise and I will pass on your feedback to make sure this doesn’t happen again. I will get the hob checked as it should light automatically when the oven is switched on at the wall. I’m pleased you enjoyed your stay in Newquay and once again so sorry. Best regards Cathy. Property Owner

  • "A very clean and modern apartment."

The bed was comfortable and the ceiling fan useful as the weather was great during our visit. A large bathroom with a walk in shower. A fully equipped kitchen available should anyone felt like cooking? The apartment did feel a little warm if shut for the day but once the patio doors are opened it’s fine. Downside, another bath sheet would be nice. And if you could have a sea view when the hotel is knocked down it would be perfect

Spacious and had all you could need. Just far enough away for peace and quiet, but close enough to walk into Newquay. The river Gannal just a short walk away was great for water if you didn't want the sea, but a beautiful walk along it when the yide was out to Crantock Beach.

  • "We loved our stay and would recommend!"

Heidi was extremely helpful during our stay. The only thing I would suggest is maybe 2 outdoor chairs that offered a more relaxed/reclining option. It would be nice to enjoy the patio for longer periods of time for coffee etc. the plants and torches were a nice touch. Your neighbors were also very friendly!!!

Thank you so much for your positive feedback, it really means a lot. Thank you also for your recommendation which I will happily organise for next season. PS thank you for watering the plants. Property Owner

the othe car spaces had more room. Noticed there was cobwebs around the bottles on the window near the door..we ended up doing them and the bottom shelf of the table was dusty.

I am so sorry you had a problem with the parking bay but it is large enough for my long wheel base Isuzu trooper although as you mentioned you do have to park close to the wall and parking on the roadside in the summer is almost impossible. I can only apologise on behalf of my property management company for the cobwebs and dust, I can assure you this is not the norm and will not happen again. I hope these issues and the rain will not stop you coming back to Cornwall in the future Property Owner
