Winterbrook is an ideal base for those heading to the renowned Boardmasters Festival, as well as cultural events such as Mevagissey Feast Week and Fowey Regatta, all bursting with vibrancy.

A short meander will bring you to the beautiful harbour where you can find fresh catch of the day from street food vans.

There are locals and tourists alike who enjoy a coffee or glass of wine sat on the tables near the She Sells Café and a range of independent restaurants, pubs and boutiques you can spend hours browsing around.

Mevagissey is one of the oldest working fishing ports in the UK; so be sure to pack a fishing rod and see what you can find!

Its name is derived from two saints – St Meva and St Issey - the first recording of the village is from 1313, and Bronze age settlements have also been found here.

Walk along the picturesque harbour wall, visit the Mevagissey Museum, and head along the coast in both directions to find a host of sandy beaches.

There are ample water- sporting activities for the daring guest; sailing, surfing, paragliding, to name a few.

Hop on a ferry at the harbour and visit Fowey, a town and cargo port situated at the mouth of the River Fowey, with a host of sandy beaches, like the National Trust Lantic Bay, along with sheltered coves such as Readymoney Cove and a host of attractions, including 16th century St Catherine's Castle.

Enjoy scenic walks along the South Coast in both directions; head north to the market town of St Austell and onwards towards the Polperro Heritage Coastline, while South encompasses the Roseland Heritage Coastline, one of the most picturesque and unspoilt stretches of stunning coastline in the UK.
