  • "Fabulous location, could have been a wonderful stay if the cottage was cared for."

Unfortunately it was quite unkempt, conservatory looked like a cemetery for insects, had to clean and hoover throughout. Bathrooms very tired, the better bathroom had a double handset shower, one handset broken, mould everywhere, seven adults staying had to use this shower as the other was so poor. Bath filthy had to be cleaned before we could bath the baby. Such a shame, cleaner, bathrooms sorted, given some care could be a fabulous place.

  • "The property was ideal for us as a 4 generational group."

We did consider that the property would benefit from some TLC as there was stains on the carpet in the hallway and lounge, and the toilet flush button in one of the bathrooms needed a cover. Also we understand that dogs were allowed in the property but a better hoovering of the carpet on changeover would have been good as we kept picking up fur all week! The patio door in the lounge could not be locked so security was an issue.

  • "This is a very special house."

We were in Cornwall for a wedding so needed a large place for all our family. It was perfect! Fabulous view to come home to after a day chilling in coffee shops, farm shops and lovely old pubs! The owners had lit the Aga so the house was beautifully warm when we arrived and it kept it warm the whole time - very impressive! Beds were comfy and having two seating areas was terrific! We couldn't always get the TV to work, kept dropping the signal but it didn't really bother us. It was lovely to have a table big enough for us all to sit round and enjoy meals together. The only thing we'd have liked that it didn't have was a soft broom for the kitchen floor! A wonderful week in a magnificent house☺️

  • "We enjoyed a second stay at Trenoweth Sea View and hope to return next year."

The property is spacious, comfortable, peaceful and in ideal location for exploring the Lizard Peninsula. We slept so well in super-comfortable beds, and the setting is beautiful. My mother has limited mobility, so being on one level is ideal for her. Something that would make it even better for the less mobile would be a handrail at the front door and possibly by the steps. This is in no way a complaint, and we are already planning our next visit ☺️

  • "Lovely bungalow with fabulous views out to sea."

It would be helpful if all the instruction books were in one obvious place and the folder giving some details kept in a drawer in the conservatory was updated. Kitchen could do with a colander, some egg cups and table mats. No kitchen towels or cling film, which we have donated. Wi-Fi doesn’t extend to the whole of the property and there is no mobile phone signal. But these are minor points. It is a great property and the aga was fantastic at keeping it warm and comfortable during a wet and windy week.

  • "Great family property, very spacious and ideal for family or groups of friends."

The two smaller bedrooms felt very damp, little concerned for the kids sleeping in these rooms, we did keep the electric heater on as much as possible to keep it warm. A small welcome note and pack left out on the kitchen table on arrival would be nice, we did not find the information pack until the next day, tucked away in a draw in the conservatory, hence we didn’t know that one of the blinds was temperamental. The area was nice and hot, but the radiators did not heat up, despite being turned on. The information pack advised us that the radiators must be on to stop the arga overheating, but the radiators remained cold, also advised us to pick up any dog poo of ours, but we did have a regular morning visitor, a black & white collie having a wee and poo on our lawn! One of our group also stepped in poo on arrival in the car park area. The Three Tuns were very welcoming and would definitely recommend a meal and a beer here, great Guinness and nice to still see a pool table.

There are quite a few flies in the kitchen area, we thought it would be a good idea to invest in a fly zapper light in the kitchen

There is a large utility room with a washing machine and dryer and also a washer/dryer in the huge kitchen. There are 2 large TVs in 2 separate seating areas. Excellent parking and a lovely garden.

It was clean and very comfortable. The carpets seem new and the decor too. The garden was large and very safe for our two large dogs. We contacted our host once via text as there is no phone signal. He responded straight away to replace gas for the fire. The internet was good. We walked from the doorway along country lanes to Porthoustock and St Keverne. Both interesting pretty places.

Equipped to a high standard and very comfortable. Would certainly return in future. Only issue we had was that it was quite cold on our last evening and we could not work out how to put the radiators on, or the fire in the lounge, this did not seem to be covered in the property folder and with no mobile signal we could not contact the owners, we ended up moving a non fixed heater from a bedroom. Overall a great stay and recommended.

  • "After months planning our trip from the USA and having spent most of my life growing up and living in Cornwall I knew that I wanted to be on the Lizard, my favourite location."

When I found Trenoweth Seaview I knew that this would fit my plans perfectly. It was big enough to sleep my friends and family who joined us and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved visiting the beaches close by and eating out in the village of St Keverne at the pub and Roskillys farm. There was also Fat Apples cafe just up the road. The local footpaths could be accessed close to us and we walked into the village several times and also walked down to the Three Pilchards pub in Porthallow. The local Spar shop had everything we needed during our stay. Others are my improvement suggestions: The WiFi available in the house was extremely weak and intermittent. Several of us had to do some laptop work during our stay and the WiFi connection made this almost impossible. The drier in the laundry warm is barely capable of drying clothes but thankfully the glorious weather allowed us to hang our washing on the rotary line in the garden. Also, it would’ve been nice if there had been a barbecue in the garden to allow us to cook outside during our stay. All in all, a fantastic getaway location that fitted our needs perfectly. Sipping my early morning coffee looking at the view of the ocean was so relaxing. I hope to return for another stay sometime in the future.

  • "This is an absolutely lovely property in a stunning location."

Clearly the owners have put lots of thought into what makes good holiday accommodation, and its sometimes the small things that make a place special - plenty of large fluffy towels, comfy bedding and pillows, a supply of dishwasher tablets - all of which this cottage has, and much more. The decor is bright and modern, chairs very comfy, and although it was only myself and my daughter, there is plenty of seating for larger parties. The kitchen was superbly equipped with lots of cutlery, crockery, and cooking equipment. Every conceivable thing seems to have been thought of. The large garden was a fabulous, equipped with sun loungers and table and chairs, and plenty of space for our dogs to run around. I would mention that the garden isn't totally secure, so if your dogs are inclined to roam, you need to keep an eye on them. The ONLY thing that let this property down was the complete lack of hot water, and this really needs to be addressed urgently. We had hot water for the first day, and after that no hot water at all from the taps during our stay, and this rendered one of the showers completely unusable, as the water stayed stone cold. I'm sure this is something the owners will attend to, and I'd have absolutely no hesitation in returning to this cottage in the future.

Thank you for your honest and kind review. We are so pleased you and your daughter had a lovely stay in our property. Unfortunately turning off the Rayburn during your stay had tripped the immersion heating set up (which we didn't know about) Since your stay we have had a plumber and electrician in to try to remedy the water set up. We are hopeful that this set up is now fixed. Thank you again Property Owner

ST KEVERNE

Helston 12 miles.

On the eastern side of The Lizard Peninsula, the pretty village of St Keverne, lying just 1.25 miles inland, is the focal point for this area, with its village pubs and shops surrounding the village square, and an impressive church spire, at one time used to guide the Cornish fishermen home. From St Keverne, you can easily explore the natural and spectacular beauty of the Lizard Peninsula by car, bicycle or on foot. You will find walled fishing harbours, tiny secret coves, sandy bays and dramatic clifftop walks along the South West Coastal path. Just north is the Helford River, a yachtsman's dream and home to Frenchman's Creek, and picturesque Helford village. A short walk takes you to Roskilly’s Farm, where you can tuck in to ice cream to die for. Further afield, visit Falmouth, with one of the world's largest natural harbours, Pendennis Castle built by Henry VIII, and of course you cannot miss out on a trip to The National Maritime Museum.
