"We were from the US and it is definitely an English Cottage with all its quirks and charm!"
Located just outside of Castle Combe but within walking distance. Lovely back garden and cozy living area with fireplace. Plenty of room for 6 of us to gather for a meal. Well stocked kitchen. The downsides to be aware of (which we were). Low ceilings/doorways - of course. Crazy stairs everywhere - spiral to the bedrooms, more stairs up to kitchen. Main bath off of kitchen and not near bedrooms. Yes there is a beam in the middle of the top bedroom you must maneuver under. Weird and strange but manageable! Overall we liked the place.

"Fabulous cottage equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay."
Location is great for walks around the village and local countryside and a short drive from the facilities in Chippenham allowing us stock up on essentials

"This property is an absolute delight, you feel really cosy and relaxed there."
It is a pity there is no heater in the bathrooms, they are cold. As an old house, we unfortunately faced a power failure. It could have been resolved right away but Sykes customer service was inefficient and did not urge to resolve the problem. They just follow up with troubleshooting tickets number and emails, phone calls, but no real solution unless I personally insist and showing my disappointment . Too bad because the property has lovely owners, who felt very sorry for us. I would definitely come back, hoping I could rent through another agency. This wonderful place deserves a much nicer exposure. Excellent in every aspect. The beddings are so comfortable you literally melt into your bed.the sheets were so perfect too ! It was definitely a dreamy home.

"Great property, well equipped and clean."
Beautiful garden which was great to use on sunny days. Shower in the upstairs bedroom is very difficult to control the temperature and pulses between hot & cold. Parking is a challenge- on a busy bank holiday weekend, finding parking in the road or the paid parking area was very difficult

"The Fox Den Cottage is the best cottage I have ever been to in England."
It is comfortable, cosy, has all the amenities readily available and the kitchen is spectacular, with a view of the garden and birds playing about on the lawn and in the branches near the bird feeders. The rooms are warm and comfortable with beds that you simply melt into and sleep soundly at the end of a fun day of walking around the idyllic village of Castle Combe or visiting the surrounding villages and towns. The location of the Fox Den Cottage is perfect, 20 minute drive from a very convenient Morrisons SuperStore in Chippenham, 10 minute walk from the Market Cross in Castle Combe, and next to some very lovely farmland that is quiet and soothing to the eyes with its green pastures. The owners of the cottage are extremely helpful and their hospitality is top-notch, even providing special little extras in the cottage for the guests to discover. We had a lot of fun in the cottage itself and it was great to sit down by the fire at the end of the day with a cup of tea and enjoy a nice chat by the warmth. Absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended, to anyone visiting the Cotswolds or seeking a nice restful holiday in Wiltshire, this cottage should be Number 1 on your list.

"Wow! What a beautiful cottage!"
Everything you need and more. The cottage was decorated so beautifully and had a wonderful feel. The garden was also lovely, we sat and had our morning coffee enjoying the birds. Lots of nice walks from the cottage and the local pub serviced good pub grub! (The white hart) we didn’t get to go to the castle inn pub as you needed to book and it was a booking deposit of £15 ahead. Great family holiday, we will be back!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Fox Den Cottage."
The property itself is situated perfectly in the idyllic Castle Combe; cosy & comfortable yet spacious and truly welcoming. It was a great space for the family to enjoy; the care and attention that has been applied to every detail throughout the cottage is so apparent. It was well-equipped & we really appreciated the extra accommodating factors of having a high chair and cot for our one year old. If you’re looking for a traditional & pristine accommodation that includes a comfy living area with an open fire, smart TV, generous sized bedrooms (one with a bath) & a fabulous dining area that opens out to a beautiful garden, this is the spot for you!
