"We had a lovely stay at this property although a few items of crockery were dirty but having worked out that the dishwasher filters were quite dirty, my husband then cleaned them and that solved the problem and we were able to re clean some of the crockery from the cupboards."
Obviously, we’re aware that this was an oversight. Would return to this property again.
Thank you for your comments following your recent stay at the property. We are glad to hear you had a lovely stay and would return. We are sorry that the cleaning for the dishwasher was overlooked and we will make sure to raise this with our housekeeping team. We hope we can welcome you back again in the future.Kind Regards, Manor Cottages Property Owner

"Excellent property in a quiet area."
The house is well equipped, spacious and comfy. Good location with a few walks from property and Burford a 5 minute drive away. We'd suggest some better lighting on the turning into the estate or even a well lit signpost for Windrush heights- it was hard to spot in the dark ! A great cottage though that we would happily recommend.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We appreciate your comments and are glad you had such an enjoyable stay. Kind Regards, Manor Cottages. Property Owner

"We enjoyed our stay at Windrush Heights."
Its position gave us the opportunity to explore many of the quaint villages in the near vicinity and also was central for attractions further afield. The cottage was clean and well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We would have appreciated small waste bins in the lounge and bedrooms. It would have been handy to have clothes hooks in the bathrooms.
Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at 9 Windrush Heights. We are so pleased to hear that you had a wonderful time at the property. It's a great place to base yourself to explore the Cotswolds. We will pass on your feedback to Managed Services for review, with regards to the hooks in the bathroom and extra baskets. Property Owner

"Beautiful light and spacious property with easy access to many towns and villages across the Cotswolds."
The house was beautifully furnished and really well equipped for our two week stay. Quiet location and lovely coffee shop on the doorstep. Only negative was it's a little remote and located alongside the A40. Didn't detract from our stay though and would stay again.

"On the whole very comfy ,everything we needed in the kitchen/dining room."
A couple of more lamps needed in the lounge. Chairs needed in the bedrooms and a place to sit with a mirror for ladies to do makeup and hair( especially when you're more elderly)! The garden needs more planting to make it more pleasant to sit out ,but it is very new, so presumably that will happen with time. Also there was no house alarm fob in the key box.
Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We're glad you had a comfortable stay and will certainly pass on your suggestions and recommendations to the owners. We can also confirm that the fob has now been replaced. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"We had a really, lovely stay thank you and recommend a stay here, particularly as dogs are allowed."
The cottage was extremely well equipped with plenty of quality cutlery and crockery, pots and pans. The beds are very comfortable, there’s plenty of space to put clothes and the cottage feels very newly and tastefully decorated. The coffee shop just down the road was great for a hot drink and brunch. My only suggestions for improvement (and this is obviously to cater for our tastes!) would be for a one-person cafetière and lighter duvets. We were all too hot overnight despite not putting any heating on! Found a great dog walk a few minutes drive away from Sherborne village around a national trust park.
Thank you for this lovely review. We're delighted you enjoyed your stay at 9 Windrush Heights and found it to be so comfortable and well equipped. Thank you for your suggestions which have been passed on to the Property Manager. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"We had a wonderful stay at Windrush Heights."
The holiday home has excellent facilities, it is clean and comfortable and is very tastefully furnished. Thank you for the fresh milk, crisps, biscuits and elderflower pressé on arrival. A great location for touring the beautiful Cotswold villages. The Outpost shop nearby is great for fresh locally produced bread, milk, eggs, bacon and sausages. We stayed for four nights, wished we had booked longer. Thank you for a fabulous holiday!
Thank you for the lovely feedback. We are so happy that the property, facilities and location all contributed to you having a fabulous holiday. Best wishes, Manor Cottages Property Owner

"Lovely property, located in a quiet area with beautiful views."
We stayed here whilst waiting for our home to be completed in Minster Lovell (about 11 minutes away). All the amenities needed for self-catering were available. We had a complimentary 'freshen up' service every week, which was a nice touch. My boys (aged 10 and 7) loved watching the various species of birds and we even saw rabbits as well. We enjoyed walks into the nearby village and around the development. All in all, it was home away from home.
Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback. We're so pleased you enjoyed your stay and it was everything you needed. Best wishes in your new home, Manor cottages. Property Owner

"The house is new and has a very good standard of facilities however it is very close to the A40 and the adjacent Building site."
This was confirmed in the property details but the weekly rental was very high and poor value for money. Disappointing that the car parked in the parking barn had a beautiful view of the Windrush Valley but the house has none.
Thank you for your constructive comments, we are pleased to hear that the house was up to standard for you and are sorry to hear that you were disturbed by things going on in the surrounding area for which we have no control over. We do hope that this does not deter you from booking with us in the future. With best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"Washing line needed"
Thank you for your feedback. Since your visit, the owner has decided to install a washing line in the back garden. This will be done in the coming weeks. We hope you enjoyed your stay! Property Owner

"Despite being on a building site, we were not disturbed apart from one afternoon when turf was being laid."
The house is stunning, Manor cottages were very helpful when the we lost internet. However, you need a car at this property, once the building work is complete, the request for a bus stop would be hugely beneficial!
Many thanks for taking the time to feedback n your stay at 9 Windrush Heights. It's wonderful to hear that you found the house to be stunning and that you were satisfied with the management of the property during your stay. We hope to welcome you back to the Cotswolds again in the future! Property Owner

-
"Ideal location for exploring the Cotswolds."
The building work to the rear of the property did not cause us any problems. The traffic using the A40 is quite noisy.
-
"We had a wonderful week at this beautiful property which is situated perfectly to visit all the picture perfect villages in the area."
The house was spotless with lovely, comfortable furnishings. As stated in the property description there is currently ongoing building work. Unfortunately this is directly behind the property and quite noisy in the morning, however we spent the days out and about so this only affected the mornings and would not stop us from staying at this lovely property again.
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your stay. I will pass your comments on to our housekeeping team who will be pleased to hear that you found the cottage to be spotlessly clean! Property Owner

About the location
BURFORD
Swinbrook 2.4 miles; Little Barrington 3.5 miles; Minster Lovell 5.6 miles.
Burford is possibly one of, if not the most famous of the Cotswolds' locations. With its medieval bridge, old stone houses and attractive Tudor and Georgian frontages, it is justifiably one of the most picturesque towns in England. Often referred to as the 'Gateway to the Cotswolds', the town was originally a fortified Anglo-Saxon ford which later grew to be an important regional crossroads and wealthy wool town. Located midway between Oxford and Cheltenham, it is a little haven of history and beauty that many come to fall in love with when they visit. The 16th century Tolsey building, once the meeting place for medieval merchants, now houses The Tolsey Museum, a delightful local museum illustrating the town's social and industrial past. The church is stunning, a real gem architecturally with many interesting memorials charting some of Burford's great families. There is also the signature, on the baptisimal font, of Antony Sedley, one of the Levellers besieged in the church in 1649 - three of the ringleaders were executed by Oliver Cromwell's men in the churchyard. History awaits! With little change over the centuries, Burford is now very popular with visitors, both for its beauty and history but also for its shopping and antiques, and for the wide variety of places to eat, with restaurants, pubs and tea shops. It is an ideal base for visiting The Cotswolds area as it is within easy driving distance of popular attractions such as Blenheim Palace, Sudeley Castle, Warwick Castle and several National Trust Houses and Gardens. Bourton on the Water, Bibury, Cirencester and Stow on the Wold are all within ten miles.
