Lovely space for the dogs to run about. Our daughter stayed last year and the garden was great for her two young boys to play outdoor games. Cottage is warm and comfortable. Everything there that we could need. Thank you for the goodies - eggs, bread etc and the treats for the dogs. We will return.

We only had one slight issue due to my wife’s lack of agility in her getting into the shower. We managed by me assisting her. It would be useful if extra handles were provided to assist access for older people. The situation of the cottage was excellent for visiting the beautiful countryside. There were many good places for eating including the pub across the road which serves wonderful Indian food.

We honestly cannot recommend this property and its location enough. An absolutely lovely cottage with amazing views across the Malvern Hills. A super area with lots to visit and wonderful scenery. The Cottage: absolutely perfect in every way ... immaculately clean in every room, very comfortable and warm, fabulous jacuzzi bath, jigsaws/books/board games, and a huge selection of DVD's. Wonderful, completely enclosed garden perfect for your dog and a bowl of Bonio biscuits - sadly we had just had to have our baby put to sleep before arriving but she would have loved it and it was the perfectly secure space for dogs, and their humans to enjoy. For the humans - a welcome selection of hot drink sachets, milk, bread, butter: thank you xxx. The Owners: so welcoming and approachable, but never encroached on our stay whatsoever; just knew they were available if we had a problem, which we didn't. I would have absolutely no hesitation at booking this wonderful holiday home again - only wish was that we had booked longer lol !!

St Wunstans Nature reserve is also a gem. The wi fi connection was almost non-existent, although I appreciate this is a general problem in the area I think a router in the cottage would maybe help, rather than relying on an extension from the main property.

The cottage is very well equipped and warm and cosy. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. The only problem was with the spa bath which when turned on filled the tub with black bits. Not a great problem to us as we are not great bathers and the shower was excellent. The folder of information about dog friendly areas and places to visit was very helpful as we had not visited the Malverns before. We are likely to book a return visit in the future.

Fantastic welcome pack, Amazing beds, superb enclosed wrap around large private garden for people and dogs. To enjoy. We honestly cannot fault this cottage, it was one of the best and we have stayed in many over the past twenty years, We took 4 dogs with us, all dogs had ample space and comfort, the cottage was nice and warm and basically is a nice upmarket home from home. Nice and secure for dogs and we didn’t have a problem opening and shutting the gate to the property in fact we found the extra layer of security most welcome. The owners do live on site in a separate gated area but they are discreet and respectful of privacy and certainly did not encroach in any way. Thank you, we will be back . Rosemary and Con x

  • "I stayed for 4 weeks, on my own with two dogs."

I cannot fault the facilities but I constantly felt on edge. The sound insulation from next door is virtually non existent. I was tip toeing round. The accommodation is listed as pet friendly, but the layout didn't work for me. I hadn't realised the owners lived on site and had I known, for a 4 week stay, this was intrusive and not deliberate on the owners' part. Having to get my dogs in the car, open the main gate, shut it again behind me, became an inconvenience. Also sending texts to the owner and not having the courtesy of an acknowledgement, made me feel I had chosen the wrong place to stay. Lovely cottage but only condusive for a short stay.

We sincerely apologise you felt this way whilst you stayed with us, we always respect our guests privacy and we are always on hand if needed. I honestly thought that we did our very best to accommodate any requirements or needs you had, such as repairing the damage caused by your dogs or when you locked yourself out of the house, had we not been on site this would have been problematic. The main gate is there as we are a dog friendly property and it would be our worst nightmare should a dog or child get out from a car and get out and run onto the road, I am aware you struggled with your dogs whilst here however this was a dog behavioural issue as they were constantly out of control rather than something we could help with. The damage left to bedlinen and mess across the house was quite unbelievable and we decided not to charge you any extra or take this out of your deposit, despite the linen having to be put in the bin. I do wonder if maybe I didn't receive some messages sent by you for some reason, as I came to meet you at departure to wish you goodbye and safe journey home as you had been here for a long time, yet you had already left. The owners and their children were friendly and on the end of a phone for any queries and happy to wave as they/we came and went from the property. Lovely spacious bedrooms and beautifully comfortable beds/bedding. Great spa bath and overhead shower and fully equipped kitchen. The lounge was cosy, but, like I find in most holiday lets, the sofas are ready to be replaced. However, this fact did not spoil our stay. The cottage is in a lovely situation, below the Malvern ridge so don’t expect brilliant WiFi connection. I would recommend this cottage.

The beautiful Worcestershire town of Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age and is situated on the eastern side of the dramatic Malvern Hills. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Malvern Hills form a 9-mile range of ancient rock, which offers 100 miles of footpaths and bridleways with natural springs and long distance views in all directions. The town holds antiques fairs, WI country markets, farmers’ markets and many auctions throughout the year, as well as the Great Malvern Food Festival in June. Malvern has individual shops, cafes, galleries, restaurants, a luxurious spa and it’s own micro brewery. It is also just a short drive from the Three Counties Showground which hosts regular events most notably RHS Malvern (May), The Royal Three Counties Show (June) and the Malvern Autumn Show (September). The town is the home of the Morgan car which makes this area popular with motoring enthusiasts. The Malvern Theatre welcomes productions from the West End and the Royal Shakespeare Company. The more energetic can try many outdoor activities including high ropes, climbing and abseiling. Fishing and river cruises are available nearby and there are National Trust properties, gardens and vineyards to visit in the area. The picturesque Forest of Dean with its range of attractions is only 30 miles away, and the cathedral city of Worcester offering modern amenities is a 20 minute drive away.
