"A clean, warm and cosy cottage, well equipped kitchen, spacious boot room and entrance hall."
There's plenty of food and drink options in the immediate area. We found the local people to be very welcoming.
Thank you for your lovely feedback and we are so please to hear you enjoyed the area, i hope you had a little look in the Christmas Shop, one of the festive favorites. Also we have some lovely places to eat in the village. We would love to welcome you again soon for another stay. Kind regards Manor Cottages. Property Owner

This was a lovely cottage - we were impressed with how well finished off it was with lots of thoughtful touches like milk and biscuits on arrival - for a small cottage it was great and we loved the position so near the town , shops and lovely walks
We're delighted you loved the cottage and convenient location. We would love to welcome you again. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"The cottage was beautifully clean and very well equipped."
We had all that we needed for our stay. The beds and bed linen were comfortable. The smaller bedroom is small, and so it the double bed - but we coped! The shower room is also small, but the shower itself was fine. Plenty of hot water. We knew it was an old cottage so we did not expect lots of space. It was a shame that the sink was too small and the tap too large in the shower room, as that meant it was impossible not to cause water damage to the unit top. The cottage is very well situated for river walks and excursions, and for access to many interesting places to visit. We also really appreciated the outside sitting area for the few moments of morning sun that we had, but the chairs and sofas in the lounge were not that comfortable. Our biggest issue, and the one that will probably mean that we won't revisit, was parking. I think it could have been made more clear in the listing that although there is free parking in some places in the town, many of them were quite some walk from the cottage. The cottage is on a busy main road (noisy, even at night, if like us you had to have windows open) and it is impossible to pull up outside. On several occasions we had to pay for an hour's parking in the carpark opposite in order to unload. The parking in the town square is limited to 2 hours during the day. We found the whole 'finding somewhere to park' thing both stressful and exhausting. Anyone less than fit would struggle. We were there in the summer and it might be better in the winter, but it did spoil things a bit for us. Especially as one of our party could not walk long distances.

"This was perfectly located next to the Thames and surrounding village."
We were very comfortable and the neighbours were very friendly. Facilities were excellent and dog friendly. The Riverside pub was just across the road, ideal for an evening meal and refreshing drink. The only downside was when we first entered the accommodation it smelled a bit damp. But after we’d been there for a day you didn’t notice it. A very minor complaint and we would definitely recommend a stay here.
Thank you for this lovely feedback. We're delighted you found Halfpenny Cottage to be comfortable with excellent facilities, and that you loved the location too. We hope to welcome you again. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"Loved this little cottage and the area."
The cottage has got a iron and ironing board to so no need to take your own if needed. It was very welcoming and close to everything. The new inn hotel just around the corner the food was delicious. It’s got some nice walks with the dog to. The only issue we had was parking but that wasn’t a big deal if you don’t mind walking there is a few streets you can park down without worrying about getting back to the car to move it as it’s only short stay parking in the town. Or you could park in the pub across the way but that’s about £30 roughly a day. I would definitely come back to this place. It was a perfect little getaway
Thank you for your lovely feed back we are so pleased you enjoyed the cottage and area. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Best Wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"We really couldn't fault Halfpenny Cottage It was cleaned to a high standard, was tastefully furnished and was well equipped, apart from the omission of a t towel."
The only downside of the stay was the limited parking in the town. It is impossible to park outside the cottage as it is situated on a very busy yellow lined road. I parked some distance from the cottage which wasn't ideal.
Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We're so glad you enjoyed staying at Halfpenny Cottage but sorry to hear you experienced some parking issues. This can be challenging at times as the Cotswolds are so popular with large visitor numbers. We hope this didn't impact your stay. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"So, first the minor issues and there were 2."
1) Some of the cutlery and plates were dirty on arrival, no drama straight into the dishwasher and can understand that they can be missed by the cleaners. 2) Shower room basin tap is too short so water goes all over the unit. Mentioning this as it seems a shame to ruin it with water damage. BUT, if that's all we could find to mention from a negative viewpoint then its nothing. The cottage is fantastic. Great location in a lovely town and whilst on a main road we always found parking locally so no issue. The cottage is well maintained and has everything you need for a lovely stay. Bedrooms were cosy and comfortable and the kitchen is great. We shall most certainly go back as we absolutely loved it. Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback which is much appreciated. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and loved the location too. Thank yu also for bringing to our attention some minor issues which we have passed on to the Property Manager. We would love to welcome you back again soon. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"Very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage."
One very spacious bedroom and one smaller one. Central heating was warm enough to keep the house warm even in November. However, the duvets were a bit thin - I felt a bit cold and would have appreciated a proper winter duvet on the bed. Good water pressure in the shower. Well-equipped kitchen. The fridge is on the small side so don't buy too much food in one shop. Comfortable sofas and armchairs and a good sized TV in the lounge. There is no parking directly outside the cottage. However, we managed to park in the nearby market square (although do note the restrictions as it's only free after 6pm and until 8am). We enjoyed our stay and would return.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We have passed your comments onto our Housekeeping Team. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and hope that we can welcome you back again. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"Well firstly the good."
Well impressed with the kitchen and the facilities it provided, very spacious and very clean.said can be about the bathroom with spacious shower and very clean although quite small if you are disabled. Beds were comfortable and clean with one large bedroom and a smaller one but both adequate. Stairs can be abit hit and miss but for older property expected that but not ideal for a disabled person. Now the bad. You do specify that there no parking but to get a parking space within easy reach is near impossible and being slightly disabled myself walking nearly half a mile to park the car is certainly not adequate and to park your car in near pub car park would cost you a fortune for a few days, maybe you can meet with car park owners and thrash a deal for people staying at the cottage. Sofa and chairs are not comfortable and are very low we had trouble sitting on them and spent most of our stay on dining room chairs. Windows were very dirty during our stay. Very noisy first thing in the morning but being on a main road I guess that’s the norm. Clothes racks not adequate as one was stuck behind the smaller rooms bed. We did enjoy most of our stay but some things need ironing out especially the parking.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you had trouble parking, there is usually space in the free car park around the corner. We do our best to represent our properties accurately, through our descriptions and photographs to enable our customers to make informed decisions about amenities, such as stairs, furniture and space in bedrooms. We hope you enjoyed exploring the local area. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"The cottage was exactly as advertised."
It was spotlessly clean and had every piece of kitchen equipment required. A Xmas tree was still up and helped with the atmosphere. We had a super time and thank you for helping us celebrate.
Thank you for this lovely review. We're delighted you enjoyed your New Year at Halfpenny Cottage and hope to welcome you again in the future. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner
