  • "8-12/9/24 The 5 of us had a very comfortable stay in Cookie’s Cottage."

Gerry’s generosity & friendliness was second to none. He was also very accommodating & ready to help when needed. We happened to say we could have done with a few extra wine glasses and they were on our doorstep that afternoon, which we certainly weren’t expecting. A great base for touring Fermanagh, Donegal & Sligo. All in all we had a lovely break in Cookie’s Cottage. Thank you Gerry and Sadie from The 5 Merry Wanderers from the North & their 2 pooches Woof Woof!

  • "While a lovely property."

it really needs updated. A thorough deep clean would be needed. Very basic amenities. Washing maching not working. No Wifi, 3 tv channels working. 19" TV in 1 room only. Beds really uncomfortable although mentioned in other comments is it is obvious this has not been noted, dimly lit in the evenings. Althought it sleeps 7 there was only 2 glasses. Location of property is very nice, and quite.

  • "The house is charming with an Irish atmosphere."

The place is charming, a good base for trips - the drawback is that there is no footpath to the town

  • "Very nice little Irish traditional cottage but not a very restful sleep at night due to the pillows all needing replaced as does the upstairs double bed mattress and the downstairs single mattress, can feel springs thru mattress."

The oven does not work and radiator does not work in living room.

  • "This is a really good old fashioned cottage ."

There is a big area out the back of the cottage to let your children or pet have a roam about in . The owners are great people very friendly a couple of problems occurred while we were there and was sorted ASAP . It is nearer to Belleek than Ballyshannon. There are lots of takeaways either way you want to drive . It is centrally located for travelling about the area . We enjoyed our stay .

The place was to far away from everything had to walk an hour to get a bus from ballyshannon to donegal because it don't stop at Belleek till a certain time it was just to far away and no taxis would pick us up the house itself was ok

On a main road, so not really child friendly.

  • "The cottage was exactly as described in the listing and a week's stay was most enjoyable."

The hosts Gerry and Sadie were very welcoming and were contactable if any issues arose. Lots of parking space and a pleasant patio area to sit out when the sun comes out. Belleek is only short distance away and has some lovely pubs and restaurants of you want to dine out as well as The Jolly Farmer just down the road. Co Would recommend.
