  • "We had such a fantastic stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a group getaway!"

We stayed as a family to celebrate a birthday, and the house was perfect for spending quality time together. It’s incredibly spacious, with comfortable en suite bedrooms, a huge living area and kitchen, and everything we needed for a relaxing few days away. The owners have thought of everything and the room designs are stylish and well thought out. The outdoor space was definitely our favourite part. We made pizzas in the pizza oven, played games outside, watched the football on a projector we brought with us, and finished the evenings relaxing in the hot tub. The covered seating and outdoor heaters meant we could enjoy being outside even once it got cooler which was idyllic! The location was brilliant too, with Beamish, Gibside, Newcastle and the coast all within easy reach, giving us plenty of options for days out. There is also a handy shop down the road only a 2 minute walk, with everything you could need. They even had fire wood for when we decided to use some more so it’s great if you run out. Overall, we thought it was fantastic value for money, especially for larger groups, and we’d absolutely return for another family or friends’ trip. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we’d love to come back again. Emily and Dan x
