Head to Wild Nephin National Park or take a short drive to Newport, a quaint town known for its traditional pubs, where you can hire bikes and cycle along the Greenway towards Westport or go in the other direction towards Mulranny and on to Achill where you can enjoy the stunning beaches at Keel and Keem (and many more), go surfing or take part in a range of other water sports.

Beautiful setting, so nice to sit in the garden with the views and sounds of sheep.
The flowerbeds were lovely. Inside of the house well equipped and cosy, comfy beds. Our children loved the bedroom with doggy duvet covers.
Quite uncomfortable for 6 people, only seating for 4 or 5.
We felt the only paper products on-site were left by the previous tenants. Lots of dust dead flies and spiders. Refrigerator was barely large enough for 2 people for a week we booked for six. We booked this property on short notice after our previously booked property cancelled on us. Our previous booked property (which was booked 7 months ago) was 1/3 of the cost of this place. For what we were charged due to Sykes. Incompetence to help rebook. For the price charged there's a country full of better properties to select from.
We spent a very nice stay in Calvey's cottage, who is clean and very confortable.
It's a good localisation for visiting the west of Irland. I would recommand that place.
