  • "We had a great August Bank Holiday week in this excellent apartment that brings the outdoors indoors."

The apartment is spacious, spotlessly clean, well maintained and in a great seafront location. We particularly enjoyed the balcony area and the lovely sea view. The apartment has every facility for a comfortable stay and the hosts additional touches of a cream tea, prosecco, fruit and fresh flowers were greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend.

  • "Whilst not being in the centre of Torquay, the apartment's location is ideal for a quiet relaxing stay but still within a short walk of some very nice pubs & restaurants and local shops are easily accessible also."

The layout of the apartment is ideal and the views out to sea from the balcony are fantastic. In general the apartment is also very quiet at night. However, the interconnecting fire door to the hotel isn't very well sound-insulated. so loud staff/neighbours can be a problem Whilst the accuracy of the images is very good, the apartment could do with a little maintenance to bring it back to top-notch standard.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your feedback, we are delighted to read you enjoyed your stay and the location of the Apartment, we agree the views are incredible. The interconnecting door is a standard fire door and can therefore not be fully sound insulated. Had you experienced any noise during your stay we do wish you had contacted the property owner on the number provided as she would have been able to look into this for you. You will see from the exceptional feedback Apartment at Morningside Hotel has, that sound from staff or neighbours is not something that has ever been mentioned by previous guests. We are pleased to report that 1 of the bathrooms has recently been refurbished to a modern suite and will upload pictures of this very soon. Property Owner

  • "Super light spacious apartment."

Plenty of room for 3 generations of the family to spread out. An excellent cream tea & Prosecco were waiting for us on arrival & owner very helpful with any queries. Great location with lots to do within walking distance and plenty more a short drive away. Very impressed with the local cafes, restaurants but also a couple of supermarkets very near together with independent bakers, fishmongers etc. Really appreciated the en-suite to all double rooms and parking for 2 cars Thoroughly recommend.

  • "Gorgeous appartment, beautifully decorated and very clean."

The sofas and beds were extremely comfortable and breakfast on the large terrace overlooking the bay was a great start to the day! The kitchen, although small, is very well equipped with everything you’d need - soap, washing up liquid, dishcloths, tea towels, dishwasher tablets, bin bags, tea, coffee, sugar, salt & pepper. The welcome gifts of milk, scones, jam, cream, prosecco and a selection of fruit were a lovely touch and we had great fun playing jenga a few times as well as settling down as a family in the eve to watching films on Netflix. The bathrooms were a good size, stocked with liquid soap and spare toilet roll and all showers had great water pressure - we had one minor issue with the temperature of one shower but the owners were quick to respond and very friendly. The ground floor utility room was great too and we managed to dry most bits on the airer. If the weather had been colder or wetter though a washer-dryer might have been useful. We and our teen boys really loved the area of Babbacombe- relaxing, scenic and not in your face busy. There are several cafes along the sea front, and a hotel that does a lovely Sunday carvery. A few mins walk away you’ll find a very well stocked Tesco metro but, if you fancy a break from cooking, there is a good indian takeaway and fish and chip shop round the corner plus a number of chains & independent places will deliver via app. There is so much to do and see locally-our highlights were a ride on the vernacular railway down to the beach, a visit to the Cary Arms (great food and fantastic treatments in their spa), go carting at Dawlish and an hour’s rib ride boat trip (run by Torquay water sports) where we were lucky enough to see dolphins. Overall, a great week’s holiday in a fantastic apartment!
