  • "Lovely stay in Bideford."

As with most places in Devon parking is a problem so you'll have to put your car in the local long stay car park which is only a short walk away. Forget on street parking - the locals have that sewn up. House was lovely and comfortable and clean. Bideford is a great place to be based, enabling easy access to the local amazing beaches!.

Thank you for the lovely feedback and great to hear you love Devon as much as we do. Esp. the beaches! We hope to see you again in Bideford soon. Kindest wishes Debbie & Marc Property Owner

  • "A great house,clean and inviting."

There was milk in the fridge and a nice box of biscuits waiting for us. It was a pleasure to use the very well equipped kitchen, which we made use of a lot,due to the fact that we did not have good weather during our stay. The garden was a bonus for my dog, safe and enclosed. I loved all the little handmade" seaside" ornaments and various pictures around the property. Parking was an issue close to the property, but we were able to find spaces each day in nearby streets, which saved on paying parking fees for the near by car park. I found the stairs very challenging, and would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues or young children. A hand rail placed on the left side wall on leaving the bathroom i feel would be of benefit. I suggest a chair to be put in the double bedroom for somewhere to place your clothes at night, due to the room having no wardrobe or hanging space. A good base to visit Devon's coastline.

  • "Lovely warm, cosy, comfortable, and well equipped house."

This property is exactly how it is described the stairs are steep. Parking in the street is near on impossible ( you can pull up outside and unload/load) and there is a car park 5 minutes walk away that you can pay £22 for the week so not a problem. The information provided was minimal, for example there were no instructions on how to use things and although there was a chart for the rubbish and recycling there was no info about what could be recycled. Several lights didn't work but there was no book to write anything in. The owners did not reply to my email questions despite the initial introductory email saying I was welcome to email them. However we had a wonderful stay and would stay again. Bideford is a good base to see North Devon from beaches to moors.

Dear Carole, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay at our holiday let. Your insights are incredibly valuable to us as we strive to enhance the experiences of our guests. All light bulbs have been checked and changed to start with. Unfortunately, I have been experiencing some unforeseen personal issues that have required my immediate attention. I anticipated you would reach out to Skyes instead & apologies I presumed this. We are so glad you loved North Devon so much and hope you do return in the future. Kindest wishes Debbie & Marc Property Owner

  • "The cottage first of all was spotless."

So much attention to detail. There was milk and a lovely box of biscuits on arrival, very welcome after a long drive. We've stopped in a lot of holiday cottages and this one is definitely one of the better ones. The simple things that make a holiday cotrage have all been thought of. Everything you need for washing up, laundry, loo roll, foil, cling film...I could go on! There was plenty of crockery etc, again spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy with lovely bedding. We took our own throws for the furniture....we have a dog, but these were also provided along with bowls, toys and even a dog bed in the dining area. Parking is limited, but that's made clear and we parked a 5 minute walk away and it wasn't an issue. I wouldn't say Bideford wowed me, but the wider area is so beautiful, even in late March and we like to go and visit different places so were just looking for a base. I can't reccomend the cotrage highly enough. Enclosed quiet garden and great communication from Debbie. We were lucky on the whole with the weather considering the time of year. Went to Appledore, Instow, Minehead, Lynton and Lynmouth, Padstow and loads of places inbetween. Dog friendly beaches a plus and they were huge! For value for money I can't say anything more than book !

Hi Joy, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Milton Place & loved Devon so much. The beaches certainly are good for the soul. Even dogs dishes bed toys towels. Garden we had really sunny days so we love the outside space table and bench. We took our camping chairs so we set out a lot with the dogs who enjoy it too. Could do with crab handle for stairs to bathroom. Am 70 only short so it would of been very helpful. Would book again for longer if had the handles. Thank you so much for a lovely break

Everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The enclosed rear garden is perfect for alfresco dining and is safe if you want to take your dog. We lit the log burner in the front room every evening. So cosy after a day of walking. The hosts are so helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

  • "Lovely cosy mid terraced house in Bideford."

Had everything needed for our stay. Lots to do in the area and we had some get days out and about. Please don’t let the following issues put you off, if you have No mobility problems, just stating for those that do. Parking was as stated, the street is very narrow , so you can unload, but have to reverse back out. We had our 84 year old mother with us, but just dropped her off at the end of the street, whilst we parked. The only other challenge, beside the weather in January, was the stairs. The bedrooms are to one side of a V staircase, the bathroom to the other. But we all managed, you just have to take it steady! Thank you for a lovely week.

Dear Carolyn, We are so happy you enjoyed you're week so much. Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and we hope to see you again in the future. Kind wishes Debbie & Marc Property Owner

Garden larger than expected which was great as it is dog friendly. Bedrooms all a good size + beds very comfortable. Disappointed that no Wi-Fi during our stay but assured this has been resolved. Would book again even with the steep hike from the town centre. (Good for the calves!) Well appointed too with several beaches within a short drive.

Thank you so much for the feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed Milton Place as much as we do. Sorry you were disappointed with the Wi-Fi & we couldn't get it connected whilst you were staying. We found it as frustrating as you. I'm pleased to say it's now connected. We hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner
