"Bit disappointed when we arrived, the appearance on the outside was not as good as the pictures on your site."
The outside of the property needs a re-paint and the summerhouse needs repair. The inside of the property was very good. It was very comfortable. Excellent well equipped kitchen. Nice bathroom. The owners have rightly been concentrating on the inside. The outside now needs some "TLC".

"Enjoyed a lovely holiday, very clean and spacious house."

"A spotlessly clean , beautiful comfortable home , delightful views ."
-
"Thoroughly enjoyable stay."
We spent a wonderful week at Ash Tree Cottage which had everything we needed and more. Scones with jam and cream was a very nice surprise on arrival. The kitchen was very well equipped with a large fridge/freezer. We felt felt spoiled for choice when it came to somewhere to sit, as well as the living room there was seating in the conservatory, decking, garden and summerhouse. The beds were also very comfortable. Parking was easy as there is plenty of room on the driveway and the cottage is at the end of a cul-de-sac and was very quiet and peaceful. The local pub, The Bradworthy Inn serves good food and has a lovely beer garden and is just 2 to 3 minutes walk away.

"This is a delightful place to relax in and explore Devon."
Easy access to the Tarka Trail for cycling or walking. Great shop and pub in the village and if you time it right the monthly Food and Craft show on the Saturday. Lovely light house whatever the weather

"A beautiful cottage, real homely feel, spotlessly clean."
On arrival we had a lovely Devon treat waiting for us

"We had a very enjoyable stay at Ash Tree Cottage."
Felt at home straight away in the comfortable and spotlessly clean accommodation. A pleasant surprise was the fresh scones, jam and cream. The Cottage is ideally situated to explore beautiful Devon.

"We enjoyed the property very much, it was clean and well presented and was convenient for our requirements."
The local housekeeper / caretaker, Heather, was very helpful when contacted about routines etc, and even provided some larger mugs herself so that we could dunk our biscuits as the ones provided were a little too narrow at the top.. Our only criticism is that the property could do with a tumble dryer, as the washing we did at the property would take 3 or 4 days to dry in the utility room and the bedding felt a little damp in the evening. We eventually used the launderette in Bideford to dry the laundry. Otherwise, it was thumbs up all round. Nice place.

"This is a lovely house, with a small garden, a conservatory and summer house, and great views of the countryside behind it."
There is a bath and shower which was a great help when on holiday with children, a huge oven and good size fridge and freezer. The TV has a range of channels, good for rainy days! We very much enjoyed our time here.

"Could do with exterior repaint including summer house."

"This was our second time at the house and again it was absolutely fabulous, will definitely stay again."
The house is in a perfect location and has everything you could possibly need

"The cottage was lovely."
Very homely. The water wasn't hot though and it wasn't until the last day that we realised it wasn't switched on. There should be some instructions left for people staying there so they know what to do. The kitchen and bathroom didn't have any towel rails/hooks. Other than that it was an amazing holiday and the cream tea was a lovely touch. I would definitely stay there again.
Thank you for your feedback - we're really pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay! We're sorry to hear you had some trouble with the hot water, it's possible previous Guests switched this off and we weren't aware but we are always on hand to help with any issues as our contact details are left in the welcome letter. The property is due to have some renovation work carried out, and one of the things we are looking to do is have handrails fitted for towels where needed, so this will be done in the upcoming future. Thank you again for your comments, and we look forwards to you staying again in the future. Property Owner

"Ash Tree cottage was a delightful home for 3 weeks."
It provided the facilities we needed & the village was good, the shops meet our top up needs, after doing a main supermarket shop in Biddeford. The pub was a great place to eat & all the locals we encountered around the village were very friendly. There were also some nice walks around the village. If we need a place to stay in the area in the future we will be in touch.

"The accommodation was very comfortable and very well presented."
Although the location was very peaceful and relaxing we found the facilities in the village of Bradworthy to be somewhat lacking. Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday.

"We had a wonderful stay here."
You do need a car and difficult to get evening meals in surrounding areas, but overall we enjoyed out stay. Thank you

"One of the single beds was very uncomfortable and squeaky also there was a musty smell throughout the house which we can still smell on items we have brought home."
Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear you were unhappy with one of the beds. It will be checked and changed immediately. I have no idea what the musty smell was as the house it is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised against Covid after every visit. Cleanliness is our top priority. Kind regards Property Owner
