"All good with the added bonus of an electric car charger ."
We really enjoyed our stay in the spacious accomodation plus we had a visit from a pheasent most mornings!! Andy was helpful but we didn't meet Carrie ,a good holiday we would like to stay again in the future.
-
"A clean well equipped and very well presented property and garden area."
Excellent location on the edge of he village and just a short walk from the village amenities. Plenty of local guides and maps in the property and an excellent local bus service and train service making it easy to explore he local area, Dartmoor and more distant towns and cities on foot.
-
"Loved it just the holiday we needed!"
-
"Bradbridge Barn is a peaceful, private haven and a perfect base for exploring this beautiful area."
It was wonderfully clean and well maintained and we loved our stay.
-
"A lovely property with a nice secluded outdoor space."
Everything you could need was in the property and even though we hadn’t noticed that the previous renters had inadvertently taken the corkscrew home with them, the owners promptly supplied a replacement. Having been in that predicament before we only take screw tops with us when staying in a holiday apartment but it was a nice touch! Overall an excellent property with friendly owners and if you want a secluded home away from home this one takes some beating!
-
"We were extremely lucky with the weather and the property is ideally situated for exploring the area."
The cottage had everything needed for an enjoyable holiday. Carrie and Andy went out of their way to help us out with what could have been a major car problem. Can't thank them enough.
-

-
"Everything was of the highest standard and with very spacious rooms."
we enjoyed our stay in April and would love to return in the Autumn.
-
"We were expecting bad weather and so packed all our rainwear but not a drop fell."
So we walked and walked. Coast, City, Countryside Moor, this Barn is close to it all. A really quiet, warm and cosy base to return to to rest our weary bones. Thank you.
-
"What a fabulous property."
Very clean and well equipped, comfortable and cosy. Ideal for a quiet break
-
"Lovely secluded property."
It is spacious and well equipped. Both en-suites are modern and were spotlessly clean. Ample seating in the lounge area and a lovely private garden with furniture. Thoroughly enjoyed our week here.
-
"Fantastic, the property was so clean and comfortable."
Loads of space in the living area and main bedroom, with a great bathroom/shower. The outdoor space was lovely and secluded. Newton Ferrers is so picturesque, we had some lovely meals looking over the estuary, especially in the Ship Inn. Also in the morning we would walk down to The Green to pick up fresh bakery items and coffee. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent host and in a fantastic location for plenty of walking.
-
"We have had a lovely, peaceful week in this pretty barn in Devon."
-
"Beautiful accommodation and possibly the cleanest we have ever visited!"
Well equipped and comfortable. No problem for most visitors but be aware access from the car is on sloping gravel so not ideal if you have problems with mobility needing walking aid. Loved the drawer full of children's books and Lego. Not required by us oldies but a lovely welcoming touch for visiting children. Small but pretty outdoor area with bbq and comfy seats (cushions in wardrobe). Had a problem with the bathroom light which I understand is now receiving attention but otherwise, nothing to fault. Highly recommend as a quiet place to get away from it all but with easy access to Dartmouth, Buckfast Abbey and Saltram (NT). Recommend The Rose and Crown in Yealmpton - had a great meal there! Thanks to Carrie for letting us enjoy this lovely property. Would return in a heartbeat if circumstances allow.
-

As previously, a really warm welcome from our friendly hosts Carrie and Andy. Hope to return again at some stage! Many thanks for a lovely week!
-

-

"We loved the barn… very sweet garden."
Had everything you would need. Nice place to come back to after a day exploring the local area. Good location Newton Ferrers/ Noss Mayo was lovely.

A lovely place to chill out and relax, though a walk to either the local shop or pub means a very steep hill so be warned - the garden attached to the barn was not enclosed so not really suitable for very little ones - still a gorgeous little hideaway
-
"Lovely spacious and comfortable cottage."
Pleasant and private garden/patio. Very clean , well equipped. Welcoming hosts. A short walk yo local shops, pub and beautiful riverside village. A very relaxing holiday.
-
"The Barn is light and spacious and well equipped, with a recently updated main bathroom."
The garden is nicely landscaped and was a lovely place to eat and relax during the hot weather we were lucky enough to enjoy.
-

-
"The barn was a very pleasant surprise, I was lovely and Carrie and Andy could not have been more helpful."
A lovely base to explore Devon and Cornwall, got some great trips from Carrie like driving to Mount batton point free parking and taking ferry across to Plymouth. In all a great holiday.
-
"No. Everything was fine at the Barn."
-
"The owner was very friendly and welcoming."
The property is well situated, just a very short walk to Newton Ferrers centre. We had a great time and would stay again.
-
"We found the barn fitted with everything we needed, owners on site if any queries."
Great if you have dogs safe walking without leaving the grounds, also a really good spot to explore that area of Devon and really good pubs nearby for food, even walking distance if fairly fit!!
-
"The barn is very well equipped, clean and spacious."
Owners on hand, very polite and accommodating. We spent a lovely week in South Devon and didn’t have to travel far to spend our days on some stunning beaches.

"We have previously used Sykes to book our holidays and find them both caring and professional."
"Beautiful Cottage in an idyllic setting". We really enjoyed our holiday in beautiful Bradbridge Barn in Newton Ferrers. Our clean and comfortable "Dog friendly" Cottage was everything we could have wished for. The enclosed garden was brilliant for our Westie and there was also a Meadow for his morning walks. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and Cream Tea's in the "Tea Room on the Green" which was a sort walk away. The Dolphin Inn in Newton Ferrers is a lovely old pub on the quay and when the tide was out we had great fun walking over the causeway's to both "The Swan Inn" and "The Ship Inn" in Noss Mayo. A big thank you to the lovely Carrie our hostess for letting us stay! Mrs Maddock, August 2019

"Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful part of Devon."
Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The host was very friendly and helpful and even loaned us a rucksack as we'd forgotten ours. The area is outstandingly beautiful with lots of coastal walks to enjoy. We ate in most nights but did eat at the ship Inn and dolphin which were lovely and by the water. We took our cavapoo Alfie and he had a brilliant time. It was lovely to let him out in the morning g knowing he was safe in the enclosed garden. We will definitely be visiting again and can highly recommend

"Beautiful place."
If you have dogs there is a very large field for them to run in. The place is filled with lovely plants and has wild areas. The surrounding area is breathtaking, roads are a bit hairy but driven with care the journey is worth it.

"Bradbridge Barn is a well built spacious home from home which makes an excellent base for exploring South Devon."
The rooms are large and furnished well enough for a family of four to stay with ease. The main room is all in one with the kitchen on one side and comfortable sofas and the tv on the other, and a table to eat at, or plan trips out from. The kitchen has a modern cooker as well as plenty of cooking and preparation surfaces, and enough cutlery etc for a family of four. There is a large fridge freezer and storage for food for self catering families. The bathrooms both have a shower and hot water was always available from the modern boiler which also provided heating for us on colder spring nights. The main bedroom is large which was good for us as the dog’s beds did not get in our way! All areas were cleaned to a good standard and well maintained. There is a small garden at the front for resting in the sun and access to a shared play area/garden was close by and safe for younger children, and parking for one car is beside the barn. We enjoyed staying there. Thanks.

"Lovely warm cosy barn, great location, a few minor issues that were sorted out quickly"

"Bradbridge Barn is a cosy and comfortable cottage."
We had a fantastic week in Newton Ferrers. We had our dog Emma with us for the first time and she enjoyed every day.
-
"A lovely peaceful location and a very spacious property."
The owner made us very welcome
-
"Lovely comfortable cottage with everything we could want for a weeks holidays."
Friendly and helpful owners. Really nice village and area. Not too far down into the village with street parking both on The Green and down by the creek although limited to 45 minutes during the day. Lovely walks. Some very pretty little creeks and inlets with some wonderful old cottages. Easy to driv e round to a Noss Mayo or walk across at low tide. Beaches not too far away. Bigbury on Sea especially popular and has a dog area on the beach. Paignton not too far away which has a doggy beach at Goodrington Sands. For dog owners. . There is now no field at Parsonage Farm, as stated in an earlier review, but there is a recreation ground just up the road.

About the location
NEWTON FERRERS
Plymouth 8 miles.
A tranquil, picturesque village in the South Hams area of Devon, on a bend of the River Yealm leading up from the South Devon coast (1 mile). The perfect haven for sailors, for those who love messing about near water and for those who appreciate stunning and civilised countryside. There is a local butcher, chemist, post office and grocer in Newton Ferrers and an organic farm shop just two miles away. The village pub, with fantastic views across the water towards Noss Mayo and the creek, serves good food and drink. The area is blessed with many walks that meander along the waterside and across the fields, while to the north Dartmoor's high tors and open spaces beckon those who love wild country. The city of Plymouth with its shops, Marine Aquarium and Barbican quayside area is just 8 miles away while beautiful Totnes with its 'alternative' view on life is a must. If the beach rather than boats is what you seek, you won't do better than the beautiful sands at Mothecombe and Bigbury just a few miles down the road. Both are accessible by road or boat from Newton Ferrers. There are a number of excellent golf courses nearby.
EV charger available by arrangement charges paid to owner direct.
