Bay View

The apartment is in a great location giving wide views of the harbour and town.

Watching the boats come and go and listening to the church bells was a highlight. We also liked that the flat was within easy reach of the town whilst being separate enough to feel private. The outside terrace was a great addition, and the designated parking space was very useful. The bathrooms and bedrooms were generally clean and comfortable. Aspects of the kitchen and lounge facilities and general standard of maintenance at Bay View did not quite meet our expectations of a four tick property unfortunately: although the kitchen generally had sufficient equipment, some of this needs updating (e.g chipped crockery, damaged / peeling non-stick pans); we found plates with food on in the cupboard; the lounge soft furnishings and curtains around the apartment would benefit from being cleaned; and paintwork showed quite a lot of wear and tear. The main issue that affected our enjoyment of the apartment, however, was that the sound insulation from the upstairs property is poor meaning we were disturbed most nights; we appreciate this is not something the owners can easily resolve but feel it is important people are aware of this before booking.

The property was wonderful, spotlessly clean, modern, light and airy, it was excellent value for money.

The steps up to the apartment are a little daunting, but the location is definitely worth the climb. There are quite a few very nice places to eat withing easy walking distance (once you have navigated the steps) and we would recommend: Olive, Shoals and Breakwater which all provided delicious food.

We stayed for 4 nights over the October half term with our kids and had a great stay.

Nicely decorated , clean, comfy furniture and beds and a kitchen stocked with everything you would reasonably need. The windows with a sea view have had the window sills made into seats in both the lounge and one of the bedrooms, great for watching the busy harbour from. Plenty of space for us and our 2 kids. It should be noted that the outside space is not immediately adjoing the flat but you only need to walk out to the main steps and up 8 or 10 steps. The area it's self is nice and plenty private enough to use and is a great addition. We even used it in October a couple times for a glass of wine before we headed out for the evening. I found the directions to the flat somewhat confusing but just head for North view road, doesn't really.matter how you get there. There probably about 20 steps to cart your stuff down from there. It's less steps up to North view road than down to the road below. Access down north view road is tight but I got my Vito down there alright. Even managed to park on there a couple times. The allocated space is a 5 min walk and will easily accommodate a Vito/T5 sized van The only issue we had was we could not find the WiFi code, I messaged the owner and they called back within 30 mins with the code. Very pleasant to deal with. If I come back to Brixham I would definitely stay here again.

A great holiday home with stunning views and situated in the best location a few feet from the harbour and town.

We spent a week in this apartment with friends.

The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard and there was everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. Comfy beds and all of the necessary equipment in the kitchen. The window seating where you can watch the coming and going in the harbour below was fantastic. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return some time in the future. We would like to thank the owner for making our holiday a fantastic experience. Brixham itself is a wonderful little town with lots of places to eat and drink and it is a perfect base to explore the surrounding area.

A lovely apartment with great views and so convenient to walk everywhere, everything we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. It would be helpful to include more details about the parking in relation to the apartment, I had to keep calling the owner to help me find it - he was great & really helpful. Also make it clear that the deck area is not physically attached to the apartment and you have to go back out the apartment & up a couple of public steps, it’s almost next door but not practical to sit in your dressing gown with a cuppa in the morning. Nice though in the evening with a glass of wine and great views over the harbour.

What a wonderful apartment!

Has everything we needed. The views are stunning. I spent hours sitting in the window watching the fishing boats. We will definitely be staying here again.

Absolutely lovely property and great location.

Blackout blinds in bedroom would be useful however beds are incredibly comfortable. All in all a fabulous property, we will stay again!

Would benefit from more tea and proper milk on arrival as seemed missing in this flat but lovely break.

We had a lovely stay at the Bay View.

I would say it's not for people with mobility problems due to the 100 plus steps down to the harbour. We had an issue with the door lock but the owner answered their phone promptly and had someone come to fix it within a day. The views from the main living area to the harbour were super. Only real disappointment was that the table in the picture is quite separate from the apartment not in front of it. Overall we had lovely weather and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great views of a proper working harbour.

The cottage is in a stunning location overlooking the harbour and town.

Inside was very clean and has been decorated recently to a good standard. Would definitely recommend staying here as long as you are OK with steps. If you are stopping anywhere in Brixham you cannot escape them but we'll worth it.
