  • "A cosy and comfortable property."

We loved the fact that as a Grade 2 listed building it had it's little creaks and groans (just like us old people) The flat was well equipped with everything we needed and everything worked well { I think the kitchen tap needs tightening up as it slightly confused the missus} one tiny thing was that the carpet on the very edge of the top step riser of stairs is a bit saggy and could catch people unawares. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would use it again.

  • "Loved the flat."

.my second visit to it . So convenient for everything..a great location . Came by train so the lack of parking was not a problem . Very well equipped with a homely feel .good range of tv programmes . Will definitely return.

  • "The flat suited us fine."

No complaints. Some traffic noise but only to expected for this central location. 10 minutes spent fixing to toggle fastener on the window behind the sofa would help a lot with noise. Double glazing would be inappropriate for this property and probably not allowed but secondary glazing may be a consideration. Do not forget the keys when you go out, you will lock yourself out.

  • "Lovely quirky cottage."

All mod cons. Sofa rather small and low- but that's a sign of our age! Plenty of cushions available. Thankyou

  • "A nice little apartment, very cosy / good heating."

Kitchen very tired and in need of revamp. Far window in lounge and gutter outside urgently need repair as when it rains the loud dripping stops you from sleeping, plus the water comes through the window. Main door from the street very tough to open and anyone who isn't quite strong wouldn't be able to get out as it sticks very bad.

Thank you for letting us know about the problems, we will do our best to rectify these asap and hope you managed to enjoy your stay as much as possible. Kind regards, Owner Property Owner

  • "A lovely little apartment with everything you need."

Lovely and clean with comfortable beds. The outside on the street looks quite scruffy which worried me on entering the building but I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely the apartment was, the shop it’s above is now a tattooist not the writing room as per the shared information.

Thank you for your kind comments about the apartment. We hope you enjoyed your stay. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Good convenient placed apartment but parking was difficult."

Needed to be lucky to get a place by beach carpark to unload on arrival. But then parking had to be in a longterm carpark which was up hill and a bit of a walk and then expensive for a days parking. Needed to download parking app. to make it convenient to pay carpark tariff. Lyme Bay Holidays were great and sorted out any help we needed. As they agreed a parking permit would make the holiday much more agreeable and less taxing.

  • "Location, location, location."

... perfect! Communication from Sykes cottages, leading up to our holiday exceptional, key lockers etc. Plenty of places to park nearby, public and side street. Driftwood is tastefully decorated, equipped with everything you will need. The space actually feels a lot bigger because of the attention to detail. My friend recommended Driftwood. She had visited with her family last year. We had a girls short break with her 7 year old daughter this time which was great! I would highly recommend the place to friends and plan to visit again. Many thanks.

  • "Driftwood is a quirky place, probably not for everyone, but me and my partner have stayed there many times, and love it."

On the down side, the flat's a bit shabby, eg the windows could do with a coat of paint, as could the door to the street, and the road outside can get noisy. On the up side, the flat is always spotlessly clean. The location is fabulous, the kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable, there's plenty of hot water and the heating is very efficient. One suggestion : the flat could do with a new television ! For us, Driftwood has all that really matters for a comfortable stay in Lyme.

  • "Fantastic apartment, great location."

Would definitely go back. Lack of parking not ideal and nearest car park is up a hill, but this was clear upon booking.

  • "We were not informed that there was a wine bar directly under the bedroom which was open till 11pm 7 days a week so by time people had finished drinking and staff left was at least midnight."

We got no sleep and feel completely drained and didn’t enjoy our holiday at all which was a shame as Lovely little flat and would have booked again if not for the bar. Would recommend taking out dressing table in bedroom and swapping for a simple chest of draws also to much furniture in bedroom. The kitchen would be a lot more roomier without table and chairs especially as there is a table and chairs in living room. The fan in the bathroom was useless as was very tempremental a new window with an opener would be a big bonus.

  • "We enjoyed our stay, even though it had 4 rooms it was still spacious for the two of us."

It was very light and airy and very comfortable. We did put the heating on as a couple of nights was chilly, so glad the owner left instructions on how to do this,as in other properties it is switched off! There was everything you needed to cook with. The TV was abit small, but that is my preference. The building is old so did expect the quirkiness of the slightly uneven floors and the older windows. We would stay here again.
