  • "One of the best properties we have stayed in in Lyme Regis."

Beautiful garden and very well maintained throughout. Very comfortable beds. We would absolutely book again. Maybe a window restrictor on the kids' room would be useful as the window is low for younger children. Thank you.

  • "Great stay at the Bakehouse - garden was particularly nice."

We loved the location and the historic setting. Beds were very comfortable and our kids enjoyed the bunk bed. Hope to come back someday!

  • "60th birthday celebration with the family."

A home from home - everything we needed to relax and be together. The apples off the tree were delicious. We ate at The Harbour Inn, Poco's and lots of lovely trips out and swims in the sea, fun in the beach hut and on the beach. Thanks.

  • "A great weekend in Lyme Regis!"

Beautiful cottage with everything needed here. The children loved it too especially the garden summer house. Great meal at The Standard. Beautiful beach, successful crabbing trip. Lots of lovely fish & chips on the beach and ice creams. Can't wait to return. Thankyou.

  • "Loved the cottage, beds very comfortable every thing you can need for a great holiday thank you ."

The only things we thought were slightly off were the kitchen cupboards smelled fusty and down stairs bedroom wardrobe seemed to make clothes feel damp and would have been great to have a clothes line outside BUT WOULD LOVE TO BOOK AGAIN .

  • "1) The fridge had been broken for 4 days, no one had told us about it and we ended up throwing some food away because it had gone off."

We thought something was wrong when we were told a fridge delivery was expected! We hadnt told them we thought there were problems! 2) The shower was leaking and water coming through the ceiling, we reported it but nobody came out to fix it. 3) The owners ask you to water the garden throughout your stay, holidaymakers shouldn’t be asked to do this, the owner should get a gardener to do this. 4) welcome pack was poor compared to other Lyme bay holiday homes, apparently the owner provides this!

The fridge was still operating at a normal fridge temperature of 7 degrees, the owner decided to replace the fridge as it was continuously drawing on the electric in order to maintain the temperature.  The owner ordered a replacement fridge which arrived during your stay, and we asked if you would like it delivered but you did not wish to be disturbed during your holiday. We have checked our records but could not find any report of the shower leaking. Our Maintenance Team and the owner have all checked the property advised that there are no issues with the shower. Thank you for watering the plants, however the owner does not expect guests to water the plants as  the property has a regular gardener to attend to this. There is a friendly note to say if guests notice the plants are thirsty during a hot spell, and are able/happy to water the plants it would be appreciated. The welcome hamper provided contains individually selected local produce such as apple juice, fudge and biscuits. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Fabulous stay in The Bakehouse with our family."

Enjoyed the duck race and history. We would definitely recommend a cream tea at the cafe opposite May Annings fossil shop at the bottom of the high street.... Yum! Can't wait to come back again!
