"Had a lovely stay at this property."
Super hot tub, garden completely dog secure, helpful non intrusive hosts. Of course there are some things you would change if it was your own home but that is personal taste rather than inadequacies. We will return
Thank you for taking the time to give us a review, we always love to hear of anything we can improve so please do let us know re comfort? Very best wishes Lee-Anne & Mark Property Owner

"A very nice place to stay."
Great location. The pictures don't really show the sheer size of the old barn. Good secure garden for the dogs. Well equipped throughout. Great hot tub. Good WiFi but very little phone signal ( which isnt a bad thing!) Had a couple of queries that were dealt with very quickly by the owners. Hopefully will be back , would recommend .
Thank you ever so much Paul, we really appreciate your time to leave us a lovely review and are so glad you had a great holiday. Best wishes Lee-Anne & Lee-Anne Property Owner

"Lovely cottage with loads of space for the dog."
Very clean and tidy on arrival with a nice little welcome package. Having a hot tub under the stars was an amazing experience. Plenty of space for parking multiple cars, would definitely go back with all the family.
Thank you Richard for taking the time to give us your feedback, we’re so happy you felt the Barn was great for you all and we wish you very well Blessings Lee-Anne & Mark Property Owner

"We had a fantastic stay at Old Orchard Barn cottage."
In truth, it would be hard to find any faults at all. The cottage is beautiful; spotlessly clean, equipped with everything you could need. In fact the pictures don't really do it justice, especially with the size of the property. We had 6 adults and 2 dogs in our party, and we had more than enough room. The hot tub was a nice bonus too! Mark and Leeanne were always very helpful when we saw them. During our stay we visited Looe and Polperro Village (30 minute drive), and Padstow (60 minute drive). For the more active, Adrenalin Quary is only 15 minutes away. All in all we had a wonderful time, and would certainly highly recommend this property.
Thank you so much Sean, so pleased to know you found everything was good for your stay at Old Orchard Barn. It was so lovely to meet you also, thank you for making our job a pleasure and we are super glad you got to visit many places here in Cornwall. Very best wishes to you all Lee-Anne & Mark Property Owner

"Recently spent a week at the Old Orchard Barn."
Absolutely stunning property in a beautiful rural location. The interior was well furnished, luxurious and had extremely comfortable beds. The enclosed garden was perfect for our pooch and the hot tub was great for us after long days exploring. Great base to explore both Devon and Cornwall. Would certainly recommend and intend to visit again.
Thank you Helen for your lovely review, we are really glad to see you enjoyed your stay at the Barn especially with bedtime comforts. It’s always great to hear how comfortable the beds are and it great you loved Cornwall. Hope to see you back again some time and wish you all the best Lee-Anne & Mark Property Owner

"We recently stayed over the bank holiday weekend in August."
8 family members. From walking through the door we were all extremely happy and loved the beautiful space we had. All the extra touches and very comfortable beds. Hot tub to temperature for our arrival and a nice welcome gift of sweet and savoury biscuits. Both Lee-Anne and Mark were very friendly and welcoming and on hand for help when needed. One thing to bare in mind is if you wish to go to a local pub but leave the car at home, ensure you book a day or so in advance as they are very unavailable. Other than that cannot fault the barn, loved every minute we were there. Thanks again and had a wonderful stay
Thank you ever so much Kerry, it was a pleasure to meet you and hope to see you again Very best wishes and blessings Lee-Anne & Mark Property Owner

"Old Orchard Barn has the WOW!"
Factor from the second you drive down the winding country lane to the pebbled drive. Once inside the property you realise that the pictures don’t do this amazing property justice! The property is stunning and everything has been thought out so carefully and the welcome goodies were such a lovely touch. Mark and Leeanne made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them and throughout our booking they have responded quickly to any questions we had and even gave us some recommendations about pubs in the area. We went on holiday as six adults an eighteen month old and our pet dog and we made some amazing memories together. There is plenty to do and the hot tub was an added bonus. We fell in love with Old Orchard Barn and its surroundings. If you’re looking for a stunning, quiet property with amazing views then I can’t recommend Old Orchard Barn enough! Thank you to Mark and Leeanne for everything and we look forward to seeing you again soon! Lee, Emma and family x

"Absolutely brilliant."
Clean, modern, quiet and incredibly spacious (6 adults had plenty of room). Even better than the photographs, which I know a lot of people have also mentioned previously! Such a wonderful property and we loved our time here. So many great features- loved the TVs in all bedrooms and the hot tub. Fabulous value. Thank you for such a wonderful stay- we would love to stay again in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to future guests.

"Loved everything about this place ,location accomodation, facilities proximity to places."
But I have only one suggestion 9:30am checkout time was too early for us ,with two kids it's difficult to come out of hangover and get thme ready by 9 ;)

"Absolutely 10 out of 10 for everything, I had never done anything like this before and was very dubious about booking it all myself online and trusting photos but I have got to say that the place was actually better than it appeared if that was possible."
We had a great stay and will definitely be going back next year but for longer….. THANKYOU

It means that you get the real wow factor when you go inside. Beautiful, bright and sparkling clean. Everything you could possibly want from a holiday home and more. About the location
ST MELLION
Saltash 6 miles; Liskeard 11 miles; Plymouth 12 miles.
The small village of St Mellion is situated on the Devon/Cornwall border, close to Crocadon quarry, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and the St Mellion International Resort, which offers golf, leisure and spa facilities. Just 6 miles away is the town of Saltash, which is dominated by the magnificent Tamar Bridge, one of Brunel’s masterpieces of engineering. The bridge takes people from Devon to Cornwall across the Tamar River, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the town also offers a number of shops and pubs, as well as narrow streets, which rise steeply from the banks of the river. From the old quayside there are river trips up stream to Calstock, a pretty village with white cottages on a steep hillside. Here, the 120 foot giant 11-arched Calstock Railway Viaduct towers above the River Tamar and carries one of Britain’s most picturesque branch lines down to the coast. The area offers some beautiful walks and cycle routes within the locality of St Mellion, plus the exploration of both moors, Bodmin and Dartmoor and the picturesque coastal paths and beaches of North and South coasts. The city of Plymouth is within driving distance, from where there is plenty to occupy visitors, including the historic Plymouth Hoe and Barbican quayside area with cafés, shops and bistros, the National Marine Aquarium and several theatres. There is something for everyone. Cornwall has many cultural attractions with National Trust properties, such as Cotelhele House & Quay just a few miles away, or the Minnack Theatre, Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project all within easy reach. St Mellion is the perfect base for exploring both Cornwall and Devon.
