  • "A gem of a flat in tasteful victorian house conversion, giving one of the best sea views in the whole of Torquay."

    Excellent spot close to local beaches and a short walk into the Harbour and positioned right next to stunning natural viewing spots. Couldnt have been happier with our stay. Hope to come again!

  • "We are an elderly couple."

    The staircase to the apartment has 32 steps, which was not mentioned in the property description. The windows were very difficult to open. There were no general instructions provided for using appliances such as the oven and coffee percolator. The toilet seat lid had a broken fitting.

  • "We had a wonderful stay."

    The apartment was immaculately presented and very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. It is in a great location too with easy walking into town and close to the South West Coast path. Some kind of booklet giving details of heating and rubbish disposal etc would have been helpful

    You know you are in a top rated holiday rental when you are provided with lovely large bath sheets - much appreciated!! The location is superb, overlooking the bay from Daddyhole Plain which gave us an excellent vantage point for the Torbay airshow. We certainly hope to revisit.

    It is exactly like the photographs in the listing with beautiful spacious rooms, tastefully furnished to a very high standard like an upscale boutique hotel. It is very well equipped with everything you could need. The location is quiet and very safe, on the hillside with views across Torbay. Thank you for a lovely relaxing break.

  • "The appartment at Rutland Heights is fantastic."

    The pics look good, in person however, the space is even better and it was perfect for our family break base. View over the bay was great and the location to Meadfoot Beach was perfect too. Just over 10 minutes walk to both beach and harbour so you couldnt get much better and set in a nice part of the town. I actually dont dont think we could make any suggestions for improvements. All was as expected and more. Great place and would definitely return.

  • "We loved our stay in Rutlands Heights."

    It is in a great location for exploring Torbay, by car and locally on foot. Bear in mind that ‘Pleasure is Pain’ the property is in a fantastic position with breathtaking views however when you walk down the hills, you have to walk back up! The apartment is on the 1st floor reached by a clean shared entrance and open staircase. The apartment is beautiful and ample room for 4 adults to enjoy both social time and private time. The views are outstanding and sea views enjoyed from the living area and 2nd bedroom. The balcony only has room for two people but a nice little extra to the apartment when it is a hot day to get some air. There are plenty of kitchen facilities and we happily cooked meals with the gorgeous view in sight. The laundry room was a great addition too giving you the option to freshen up towels midweek. The allocated parking space was a good size and you can see your vehicle from the apartment. The only thing we found that needs addressing is that the door on the 2 bedrooms en-suite shower did not close properly, so you do have to hold this closed with your foot when showering in here. Hopefully this can be fixed in the future. All in all we would not hesitate coming back to Rutland Heights, we had a wonderful stay!

  • "The property is excellent."

    It is really comfortable with huge, soft beds. The rooms are large with lots of cupboard space. Three bathrooms and a lobby. It has a lovely view out to sea and your own parking space out in the front garden. Highly recommended.

  • "Lovely property, there was no instructions how things work."

    No welcoming pack. The wrong entry code given to us to get into the property. We had to wait for the owner to get back to us which was his mistake. Forgot to tell Sykes. The property has lovely views and was very comfortable. I think they just need to get these little things right to get 100% good reviews.

  • "The apartment was superlative -very well equipped and comfortable with stunning views."

    Unfortunately there was no folder with information as to how to use the equipment and no local information as to pharmacies doctors shops pubs walks etc. We contacted Sykes on arrival and they said they would get back with information but they never did. We managed to work out how to use most things - but had to download the manufacturer’s instructions for the hob before we could cook a meal. We think Sykes could have been a bit more helpful.
