  • "Lovely character cottage in mid-Devon, we used it as a base to explore Dartmoor, Exmoor and the north Devon coast."

There is an enclosed garden shared with the owners adjoining cottage which was great for our dog, also local footpaths leading directly from the cottage we're ideal for dog walking, but wear adequate footwear as they are a little damp near the river. We didn't use the log burner in a warm September, but this would be very cosy and warm on a winters day I am sure.

Really glad you enjoyed your stay. Iain Property Owner

  • "Rude and unpleasant owner turned up and started using the garden he had let to us for our holiday."

He used phrases like "You can stay or you can go but it's my garden and I'm using it". I specifically chose a quiet holiday location with a contained garden for my nervous dog and would not have booked if I'd had any idea that the owner would behave like this. It's a beautifully and cleverly converted annex but our enjoyment was ruined by the owner.

  • "A really unusual place sensitively restored."

We really enjoyed our stay here in a very peaceful place. Very clean, easy key collection and Iain was very friendly and helpful regarding the property and surrounding area. We imagine it would be particularly nice in winter with the wood burner on but was a little too warm for us to light up. Would definitely stay again.

Hi Alastair, thank you so much for the review I’m really glad you enjoyed and a pleasure to meet you. Thanks Iain Property Owner
